Cool!  My question is: What is good to wear under a silk crepe sheath dress with a low back?  I need to wear a bra.

I have one!  I’m getting married on NYE next year and want a dress that stands out but I’m petite and want something that will still look good on me and not overwhelm.  Any suggestions for designers with dresses at $3k or below?

Jenny Packham is my dream designer but is obviously out of budget.  Thanks!

Ooooh – maybe you can answer this… I bought my dress as a sample and need to get it altered. From your experience is it less expensive to find a seamstress to do it or to go to the salon where I purchased it. I only think I’ll need it taken it a couple of inches all over

honeybee2014:  look at Eliza Jane Howell.  similar style but about 30-40% cheaper.  Alternatively lots of second hand Jenny Packham dresses for sale on preloved and sellmywedding dress sites in UK.

MONTANAROSEMEG:  Sugggestions for backless dresses under $2000? Mermaid fit and long train a plus!

MeandMyLouboutins:  I’ve always found that outside seamstresses are less expensive.

MONTANAROSEMEG:  There is absolutely nothing with buying a preowned dress and most sellers are happy for the potential buyer to try on before purchase.
