when should the bridal shower and bachelorette party be?

i know that the bms host the bridal shower but what about the bach party?

Usually the BMs host the bachelorette party too. This should be done one or two or three months before the wedding.

I am having mine on the same day. We are having the bridal shower in the early afternoon, then are meeting later that evening for dinner and then to go out dancing. Mine is only 2 weeks before the wedding due to so many things going on. I think it depends on WHEN everyone can fit it in so even a couple of weeks beforehand works.

I am also having mine on the same day. It is going to happen one month before the wedding. I think it all depends on when everyone can meet up.

I was a bridesmaid in one wedding where both were held the same day. Bridal shower in the day time, bachlorette party in the evening. My friends actually threw my bachlorette party - I'm a February bride, but my party was in November. It was more for convenience and knowing that the holidays would keep people busy. My bridal shower is this month though - in about two weeks.

Glad to see people that did it on the same day....2 of my BMs live in Atlanta (my FI's sisters) and then a couple girlfriends that I would like to be able to attend both live out of town so it would be more convenient for them

Everyone I know has done them on the same day...I, on the otherhand, want to do an overnight excursion for my bachelorette party, so not sure if I am going to do separate dates yet.

Having both the bridal shower and the bachelorette party in the same day sounds like it would be hella fun! I think I may run that idea with my MOH. Yeah you should do that!
