So I was looking for dresses for all the events that are coming up and I found a couple that I think will work. I showed FI and got mixed reviews, so I thought I would see what you ladies thought..

This is a dress that I'm thinking of for bridal showerbridal shower and rehearsal dinner dresses? : wedding dresses bridal shower rehearsal dinner appropriate BsdI think it is what I'm looking for that day because I don't want anything too short. FI didn't love it, he says it doesn't look like "me" and is too showy(whatever that means)

Then I showed him a dress that I'm thinking of for the rehearsal dinnerbridal shower and rehearsal dinner dresses? : wedding dresses bridal shower rehearsal dinner appropriate Rhdthis one he loved. I really love it too, just not sure if it is right for that night?

    What do you ladies think?

I guess I'm kinda weird, but this is what I'm doing...

I plan on wearing white to my rehersal dinner, engagement party, bridal shower, you name it...and I'm buying ALL white lingerie for the honeymoon...I've never owned anything all white, including nighties, and I've never worn a ring on my left hand ring finger...(well...not never ever, but not since before I was in high school)...I LOVE both of the dresses you've chosen, but if the first one was all white, or had ivory/white flowers instead I would be all for it...and of course I think the second one is near perfect cuz I'm like a guy with colors...anything that can be washed with whites is white... =)

@goldengrlbride: I think they are both perfect for each event! The first dress absolutely looks like a shower dress, and I love the pattern. Cute nude heels will look great! :) The second dress is stunning! I would go with nude patent leather peep toe heels (I have ones by Vince Camuto, so adorable) .... orrr black patent leather (same shoes in black) with a cute black clutch. LOVE! What is your skin tone? I'm a warm olive, so this color is great for me. If you are lighter, a lighter nude will be great for you!

Here are the shoes I have: They look much better on the foot! My mom has them in black.

I like both dresses, but the rehearsal dinner one looks a little short to me. Depending on your family and who is invited to your rehearsal dinner, they may think it's a bit revealing. I don't know what it looks like on you though.

I think they both look great and are perfect for both events. Dresses always look short on the models. Most of us don't have legs that are 5 feet long.

Most websites give the length of the dress- the second dress is 31.5 inches from shoulder to hem. On me that is just above my kneecap.

I think both are very pretty.  I don't know you, but I love a preppy, girly dress for showers.

Thank you for the input, I think I'm gonna go for both. at least order them and see what they look like on!

@elovesm: that is funn because I had just bought nude pumps the other day with a peekaboo slit on top that I was thinking would be perfect with both dresses! the first one is from kohls and the second one is from nordstrom.
