I didn't have one thrown for me, but a bunch of us threw one for another girl who was getting married, and I was not invited to the wedding. In fact, only one person out of the twelve of us there was invited. She didn't seem to feel awkward about it... I think most people will understand that you simply cannot invite EVERYONE from the office. So don't worry too much.
It has been common at all the places I have worked to throw showers for brides. Everyone is invited. Some of the people may be closer to the bride and invited to the wedding, but it is not the expectation of the rest of us..
Showers were usually thrown after work- at the office- organized by 2 or 3 of those closest to the bride.
Sometimes we bought individual gifts- sometimes we collected for larger gifts.

Sorry, there are no users yet.
I was curious if any of the Bees had showers thrown for them by their co-worker/s? And if so, was it at all awkward if staff that were in attendance weren't invited to your wedding?
