Ok I need some advice….
I’m getting married next March 26th, and my Maid/Matron of Honor is on top of her duties already thinking of the Bridal shower!! My question is when is the appropriate time to have it? I think the end of November through the beginning of January is tough because of all the holiday travels (some out of town guests will be invited). And January in Nebraska (where I live) is so questionable for weather (could be blizzards). I’m concerned February is too close to the wedding date to ask people to travel each month…??? Is it ok to have it in early November even though that is 5 months prior to the wedding?

My wedding is July 3rd and we did the bridal shower May 23rd (so about 5-6 weeks before the wedding). I personally would pick the beginning of February over November just because 5 months before is a lot.

I think usually showers are 6-8 weeks before the wedding. IMO a shower 5 months ahead is more like an engagement party.

My bridal shower is tomorrow for a 7/31 wedding. I think 4-8 weeks ahead of time is plenty. Surprised they’re already thinking about a shower for a March wedding!

My shower is the day before my wedding and people are really excited that they only have to travel once and can make both events! That said, 1-2 months prior would probably be standard.

Mine will be 3 weeks before. I’d say stick within 4-8 weeks prior to the date.
