Ok so a lot of people will probably be meeting for the first time at my bridal shower...which is a ways off from now. But I want some games to play to get things rolling and to have a fun shower!! What are some games you played or are hoping to play at your bridal shower? And if you played the "ask the groom questions" game...what questions did they ask him that you had to answer?

    Thanks Bees! :)

    I like the "Taboo" game:

Everyone is given one mini-clothes pin with a (heart/cake/bride/something) glued on to be fun and DIY, or just plain

You give a [short] list of words that no one is allowed to say:Dress, Bride, Groom, etc.

When someone says one of the taboo words, they must give their clothes pin to the person they were talking to.

Whoever has the most pins at the end of the party wins....[prize].

    It gets people talking!

    • I've been to showers where they had the attendees make wedding dresses out of toilet paper.
    • Another where they asked the bride questions to which the groom had previously provided answers; for each question answered incorrectly, the bride had to put a piece of bubble gum in her mouth (I've seen it with marshmallows too).  The questions included things like location of first date, favorite type of food/music, if he/(or the bride) was an animal they would be ___ b/c ___ (options were given to narrow the field down a bit), dream vacation, dream job, etc.  A few random questions (childhood pet's name, etc) were thrown in to make the game more entertaining.
    • At the beginning of the shower, the bride had to make a cake from scratch (no recipe provided) from ingredients provided (some necessary some not- for entertainment's sake). It was cooked during the shower and at the end the bride got to taste her dish.
    • Kitchen items were provided and the bride had to tell what they were used for.  She "won" the item by answering correctly (but really got them all anyway).  Some more unusual/less typical items were provided to make it more interesting.

the last shower i went we played a game that involved items in your purse. there was a list made ahead of time of different items and points were assigned to each item (the less likely the item to be found in a purse, the more points it's worth). some items were generic like chapstick or a mirror and some items were less common like a book of stamps. whoever has the most points at the end wins the prize.
