Hello ladies –
A good friend of mine is getting married shortly and i was looking for ideas on a thoughtful and inexpensive bridal shower gift. From experience, lingerie is great as a gift but you only wear it once or twice and then it’s back to the comfy PJ’s. I am completely out of ideas…
As you know, weddings are expensive, especially if you’re participating in all the wedding festivities like bachelorette party, bridal shower, wedding gift, etc. Especially if the friend was very generous in their giving at your wedding.

Has your friend registered? She might have some inexpensive options on her registry. But as for non-registry gifts, here are some cute inexpensive gifts I have heard about: (1) your favorite cookie recipe wirtten on a recipe card with all the dry ingredients (sugar, flour, spices) put together in a jar as a cookie mix; (2) a recipe box with some of your favorite recipes (kind of similar to the first idea, but you can get other guests in on the action by having them contribute recipes also); (3) a picture frame for a future wedding photo; (4) a honeymoon travel kit (sleep mask and neck pillow, or other travel related stuff like a guide book or luggage tag); (5) subscription to a magazine you think she might like

Robes are a great idea; I don’t know of anyone who doesn’t like them!

My shower is in a week, and I can tell you that I either want something from my registry, or something that is well thought out. Since you said she’s a good friend, get her something you know she’ll love!
You could get her a nice picture frame or slippers (i love slippers). Or, you could get her something funny. Like, lingere and slippers!! 🙂
