I read about these in a couple different posts and I’m still unsure about what to do. My Maid/Matron of Honor planned my shower and I know my aunts are helping out with food. The shower will be taking place in my church since MOH’s house is not large enough for all the guests.
Do I get Maid/Matron of Honor a hostess gift or can I just wait and give her a thank you gift at the rehearsal dinner. If yes, can you please give me some ideas? Wine is out because I know she already has a ton. I would feel a little weird bringing flowers since we’re not actually at her house.

@MrsBeck: i’m listening in on your results. My sister just threw me a bridal shower, and I was planning on giving her all of her thank you gifts at the rehearsal dinner as well – I did send her a thank you card though right away – oh boy, I hope that was right!

If she’s a big wine drinker, what about an electronic wine bottle opener? I have one and also gifted my Future In-Laws with one for Christmas last year, and we looooove having one! So convenient and makes me feel like a secret agent when I use it :). Also, you can get them as low as like $20 at stores like TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Ross, etc. even though I personally think it’s a nice gift :).

@MrsBeck: I gave my shower hostesses monogrammed spa robes with a note that said “Here’s something for your next shower!” They were a huge hit!
