I had never given it a thought, but i’m seeing everywhere on here that you are suppose to give a small gift to the shower hostesses? I’m stressing out, not only because I hadn’t budgeted in these gifts, but i love giving gifts and started over a year ago getting bm gifts (so to only have 3 weeks until my shower to buy a hostess gift, stresses me out). Plus i’m having three showers with a total of 9 hostesses. Of course I planned on writing a nice thank you and saying something at the shower. Is that not enough? If I need to do gifts, whats something nicer but also inexpensive? I saw someone mentioned monogramed umbrellas, but i would need to get them cheap.

I think monogrammed umbrellas are nice hostess gifts for sure but I think you can find something nice without having to spend a ton of money…what about a nice picture frame (if you have a hobby lobby near you every other week they have their pic frames on sale for 50% off), a candle, personalized stationary, etc…
I got the ladies that hosted 2 of my showers really nice Anthropologie candle (I lucked up & found them on clearance sale for $14 each) & the bridal tea ladies got Arbonne bath & body products. I had 3 different showers (couples shower, bridal shower my mom’s friends gave me in TX & one in my home state) & there were a total of 13 hostesses which does get expensive. One thing that kinda bothered me was at my last bridal shower 2 of my aunts were listed on invitation as a hostess but didnt even bother coming to the shower, I know for a fact never contributed anything financially & they never sent a shower gift either. I thought it was kinda wierd to be giving them a gift for “hosting” shower for me when they did nothing but I felt obligated to give them a gift too because their name was listed on the invitation…funny thing is since they werent even there I had to send their gift home w/ another hostess to give to them.
