Doesn't matter, IMO. Sometimes the timing of the shower makes it hard or impossible for wedding invites to go out first. (Like if your shower is 3+ months before the wedding).
Just make sure anyone you invite to the shower also gets a wedding invite when you send those.
Ours went out within a few weeks of each other, and the shower invites were first. My shower/bachelorette is actually next weekend (!!!!!) and the wedding isn't until September, so I would have been sending out the wedding invites really early to beat the shower invites.
Honestly, I don't think the timing matters that much, as long as everyone invited to the shower is also invited to the wedding.
It really just depends on when the events are occuring. Since wedding invitations only go out a couple of months before the wedding, it's quite common that the shower invites would go out first.

Hiya Bees,
I apologize if there is a post about this already but I am wondering if anyone can help me out. Do I need to send out the wedding invitations before my MOH sends out the bridal shower invitations? Or does it not matter? My mum wasn't sure and I cannot seem to find it through google. Sorry if this is a lame question but I cannot figure it out! I'd appreciate any advice y'all might have.
