I don't know how much it is, but Eddie George's Grille 27 on High Street has a private room as well and it's close to campus, but the food is slightly more casual. We are thinking about having our rehearsal dinner there and we're pretty excited about it. Good luck! I'll try to think of any other ones too!
Hmm... gosh that is hard. I was at the Chammps at Easton a few weeks ago and they had a bridal party going on there. They have a little room off to the side near the patio that is indoors but definitely separate. Probably big enough for like 20-40 people. I also know the the El Vaquero on Sawmill has a separate room (I haven't been there but FI has and I was thinking about calling them for our rehearsal dinner). Or maybe buca in the arena district? I'm not 100% sure that they have private rooms for that many but I feel like they do.
Another option might be to get a room at the new student union and self-cater. Did you go to OSU? the new union is AMAZING and I'm pretty sure you can rent out rooms. There is a new parking structure right next to it as well.
that is all I can think of off the top of my head. If you are having issues finding a place pm me and I'll do some more brain storming.
thanks ladies! i'm going up to columbus next month and i am actually going to both eddie george AND the new union for alumni events (i did two degrees at OSU!) & a football game. while im there, we will have to check both of those places out.
we are also going to look at the florentine, which is one of my FAVORITE restaurants ever..someone on FB suggested that to me--i completely forgot about it, even though i go there every single time i am in ohio!
I have a few ideas, but I'm not sure exactly on the prices.
German Village Guest House (a B&B with beautiful outdoor garden)
Pistacia Vera - a very sweet bakery in German Village
The Indian Oven hosts private parties for something a little different
There is also a website called Dine Originals Columbus: http://www.dineoriginalscolumbus.com/
Jeni's icecream Short North: http://jenisicecreams.com/
hmm i've never been to florentine! i'll have to google. i did just remember though that figlio (in grandview) has a back room that would prob be the right size and i looooooooove figlio :)
Biidie's Coach House is an adoble tea house in Old Dublin. The restaurant is absolutely charming. They offer a Victorian Tea Service on Sunday for 20.95 per person. They have private rooms, too, during regular hours.
Ok, my friend just had her shower at Brio at Polaris and it was absolutley stunning! They have a private room upstairs that seats 25-30 people and you can pick everything out from linens to the menu. The table was lined with small vases of rose buds and candle votives. So very elegant. Each guest received a choice of 2 lunch options with salad and dessert and we did belinis of course! It was so unbeleivably beautiful that honestly I want to steal it for my baby shower someday if the time arrives. Don't know the cost as a bridesmaid took care of it, but honestly so worth it.
Hi Columbus ladies!
I wanted to give you an update on what we decided to do for our shower..
.....we're having it at the Florentine!
They can block off part of the restaurant, and their food is super reasonble. Since it's my favorite italian place in the world, it was a no brainer once they said they could host the shower.
Can't wait for December, I'll make sure to post how it worked out on local board Columbus board :)

Hi Columbus Ladies--
I'm originally from Columbus and some of my bridesmaids are planning on holding a shower for me in Columbus. Since 2 of them are under 21 and don't know what they are doing, and one BM doesn't even live in Columbus, they've asked me to help out with some suggetions on locations. Any ideas for a restaurant that is reasonably priced, with a small private area for about 25-30 people? It needs to be an indoor location because the shower will be in January 2011.
I've been scouring the internet and all I'm finding is places that seem out of their budget (Lindley's, Greystone). Even though I grew up in Columbus, the only showers I ever went to were either at homes, parks, or restaurants that are no longer in business!
Thanks ladies :)
