My shower is in only a couple of weeks away and so far there have been no purchases from my registry for my shower?  There are purchases from the registry, but they were made before the shower invitations were sent and the shower date was set so they could even be wedding gifts?  The shower invitations went out over 2 weeks ago.  For your showers, when were presents purchased for you and how close to the shower? Was there a particular time when you noticed the most activity on your registry?  Also, I am finding out that people are slow to RSVP to the shower invites (so I am told) - did you have that experience as well? I love going to showers, it's girly and fun, but I guess not everyone feels the same?

I loved setting up the registry so I did it really early, like the week after the engagement. My MIL had purchased stuff off the registry right after it was set up. The other guests really didn't purchase until that week and even the day before, lol.

Because I was a registry snooper I even checked before going to my parents house (mind you I didn't know that day was my shower) and stuff wasn't even purchased yet but when I checked it at home they were.

As for the shower RSVP, I cannot tell you. Mine was a secret so I had no control.

I actually have checked my registry and not many items are gone. But I just think that when I go to a showe I usually buy a gift the week before and I know my mother is one of those people running out the night before to buy a gift.

I had a lot of early birds (people who purchased gifts before the invites even went out) and a lot of people who waited until the last minute. It was sort of like a rollercoaster. A ton in the beginning, and a ton at the end with not much activity in between. You said your shower is 2 weeks away? The week of your shower, you'll start to see things flying off your registry at record speed! People always tend to wait until the last minute for their purchases!

And yes, people very slowly RSVP'd to my shower according to my MOH. I didn't know when my first one was (my mom slipped about my second one), but she said my family was very last minute haha...I don't know why they were such procrastinators! Don't worry though, I'm sure your shower will be fabulous and you'll get lots of fun things off your registry!

My first shower is this Sunday and I didn't see things start coming off the registry until this week. Thinking back when I had to go to showers I usually waited until the week of the shower before getting a gift, so I'm sure the week of the shower you will see a lot of your registry items being purchased. As far as the RSVP's I cant' really help you because both my showers are RSVP regrets only, and I'm not in charge or really having anything to do with the planning. Sorry! Hope the registry thing helped a little.

My (secret) shower invites went out early this week (not that I know or anything! hee hee) and someone bought something the next day, but I don't expect people will start shopping until closer to the date (end of April) aside from a few early birds. As for the RSVPS, I don't know anything about that because it's a "secret".

A lot of people buy things off the registry from other stores, or sometimes they print out the registry, then forget to tell the cashier.  You probably won't see things coming off until the week before, but more likely a couple days before.  But people might just buy you things that aren't on the registry at all!

My shower is next weekend, and almost NOTHING is purchased.. it's sort of bumming me out, but there are also a lot of people that haven't RSVP'd yet.. I think I just have a whole bunch of procrastinators out there.

Makes me think I should make my invitation RSVPs for a little eariler than I planned.... hmmm
