Has this happened to anyone else? My friends, who are normally intelligent, thoughtful ladies insist on informing me that they cannot come to my bridal shower, which will be on Saturday. It makes me so mad that they continue to ruin the surprise! I am going to avoid my friends until then, for fear that they will ruin the little surprises I have left to look forward to 🙁

Ugh that is so annoying! My aunt told me when my shower will be last week. I jokingly told her that my friends refused to give anything up, and she was like, “Oh, it’s on August 6th!” I was so upset she ruined it for me, but I am not telling anyone she told me – I know my mother and sister would be really upset.

Are showers normally a surprise? My FSIL is throwing me a shower and she’s told me all the details so far lol.
I really hate it when people ruin surprises though! I think I have only been genuinely surprised once in my entire life because someone always gives something away.

Ugh we threw a bachelorette party for my stepsister. It was kind of a “this is your life” type thing and we started out at her dad’s house and then went through all the different bars she used to frequent ending at the bar her husband’s family owns. Each destination was a surprise with clues for her to guess along the way. Well we’re in the limo and one girl gets on her cell phone and is like oh well we’re going here here and here next…while sitting right next to the bride! I looked at her and said um this was all supposed to be a surprise. Absolutely ridiculous!!!

I would LOOOOOVE your bridesmaids, lol. I’m fairly certain that I’m having a surprise shower and I’m none too pleased about it. I’m the kind of person who really has to prepare for these kinds of things so if it’s a surprise, I won’t really have the opportunity to do so. I also happen to loath surprises so yea… awesome.
Sorry they ruined it for you though. 🙁

That happened to me too. My sister planned an amazing Halloween bridal shower for me. DH’s bestman actually told me that his girlfriend was going to be late, because she had to work. Ridiculous. Oh well. It was still fantastic.

Happened to me too, I understand the disappointment. And it’s hard to keep up the facade!

Haha people are weird with surprise events… I had a friend call me once to ask if my birthday party was going to be a surpise party and I was like huh? Even if it was meant to be a surprise I’m guessing you just ruined it
