Thanks, I think I'm going to try Cascade Winery. Has anyone been there? Any feedback?
Hey! Unfortunately our little WMichigan board is pretty quiet most of the time. :)
I've heard great things about Cascade wineries, but have never actually been myself.
Robinette's I've been to; maybe not their cellars... the shop (well, from my childhood memories) is a little more, uh, casual.
Let us know how it goes!
I haven't been to Cascade Winery, but there is a wine bar in Grand Rapids that is fairly new and it's cute. It's called Corez, it's in the Cherry Hill neighborhood. You could do a wine flight there if you are interesting in doing a tasting. Hope this helps! Good luck in your search.

I'm throwing my sister an unconventional bridal shower just a couple days before the wedding. She's got friends and family strewn all over the country, so having a shower before the wedding was too expensive for many of her friends (fresh out of college and starting families), so this was really our only option. I'm looking for a venue in grand rapids as a fun get together for a bridal shower that's not just some boring banquet hall, but can also serve as a meeting point for all the guests who will likely be flying in that day. So far, I'm looking at Cascade Winery (which lets you bottle your own wine) and also Robinette's Cellars. But any other options (cute bakery/cheese shops, wine bars) where we could all get together and do tastings or have a meal would be great. Any ideas?
