Moms can be different... Would she use a pin? (To go with her scarves, or put on her purse?) What does she like? Does she like to cook? Maybe she could use soem fancy gadgets? Does she like theather, music?? Is there a concert or show you could buy tickets for? A gardening basket?
I hope that helps... I'm just impressed you are giving them necklaces as hostess gifts. So nice.
Hi there.... I was just given two showers (one I knew of and one I didn't) and I didn't know if I should show up with a gift for the one I knew about... I opted not to, and instead had chocolate covered strawberries delivered afterward from red envelope (~$40 each including delivery because they always have coupons!)... I then did this, too, for the hostesses of my surprise shower... AND... everyone LOVED them.
that's a great idea to send flowers or chocolates as an afterward thank you gift -- thanks for that inspiration -- I'll have to send that to my FMIL for the shower I'm not supposed to know about ;)
As for a hostess gift that day, I'd opt for sticking with the theme of your shower. For a shower I was at recently the theme was kitchen and the bride gifted a slew of beautiful kithcen gadgets to her hostess. I love that idea. For my MOH who is hosting my shower, I'm getting her a GC for that name change site that Miss Quiche talked about as my MOH is getting married 2 months after I am :)

My FMIL is hosting my bridal shower with the help of my MOH and BMs. I'm going to get a nice necklace for each of my girls as a thank you gift but I'm kind of at a loss at what to get my FMIL. I'm so appreciative of the work she's putting into planning this for me, but I always have the toughest time picking gifts for her! I usually default to nice accessories, like a silk scarf or purse but I think I've exhausted all of those options. She also doesn't wear a lot of jewlery so I'm not sure that would be appropriate. Oh and I'd ask my FI but he's even MORE clueless than I am about what to get his mom =).
So what kind of gifts did you get your bridal shower hosts, especially if one of them was your FMIL? I am ready and eager to borrow all ideas :p! Thanks!!
