I want to have a theme, or anything to change the whole traditional & boring bridal shower thing.  I’m not a shower type of girl (I mean I take showers, I just don’t like going to them).  They’ve just always been boring for me…so much so, that I’m dreading having my own.  So, I was thinking about how to make it different?  I like the theme idea, but I don’t know what theme to have?  I’m a huge Kardashians fan, so I was thinking I would like to have Kim, Kourtney, & Khloe host my shower & do like makeup & fashion tips or something,  but I don’t know them lol, soooo that’s not gonna happen!

Two of my friends planned mine (not my bm’s as they are in another country) and they did an AMAZING job! They didn’t tell me anything about it until a few days before. They did a breakfast in bed theme and everyone came in pj’s. Food was all breakfast-y/brunch-y type food and there were, of course, mimosas! It was by the best bridal shower I’ve ever been too!!

sounds amazing.  tea parties are awesome.

i wish i knew the date of my bridal shower.

but i think my theme is barbie.  i collected them when i was younger and guess i still do in a way.  months ago, my mom asked me if i had any barbie bridal clothes.  i had to go to her house to get it, but i pulled out everything i had. most is still in pretty good shape even though it had be stored for years.

My sister (MOH) and bridesmaids threw me a 1950’s housewife themed bridal shower last Saturday.  It was so much fun!  Everyone loved the theme, and some of my registry matched up with the theme (lots of Fiesta Ware!).

The colors were teal and red, and there were framed pictures on the tables which were copies of the duties of a housewife (written in the 1950’s).  My mother also made the obligatory jell-o mold.

I’m still getting pictures in from it, but my invitations and decorations were bought from Etsy.

@kenya.latham.1:  my shower may be this weekend or it may be next weekend.  i’m not sure if the plans i have are real or fake.  but if it turns out to be barbie themed, i will post a picture.
