Hi everyone, I’m in this situation and I really need your opinion.
I’ll be going to a Bridal shower/bacheloretter party this Sunday. As indicated on the e-invitation, the bride has her wedding registry online so I bought her a few things from it and had it sent straight to HER house. But now I’m kind of regretted of doing so, because I would be going to her shower/bacheloretter party empty handed. I feel really .. weird and afraid of how her other friends would see me.
Any help please? I don’t really know what to do. I don’t mind getting her a bottle of wine or some smaller gifts to bring to her shower, just so I bring something along with me…
What would you do?

I like the bottle of wine idea, with a great big bow on it!

I’m sure the bride understands that if you sent the gift directly to her house, you won’t be showing up with something else. You could get a nice card with a gift card in it? Like $20 for a restaurant or something like that. I wouldn’t think it was a big deal if you showed up with nothing though.

Thanks for your quick response. It’s my first time going to a bridal shower and I honestly don’t want to look like some kind of alien. lol. I’ll get her a bottle of wine !
I guess I should also have a note mentioning that I’ve ordered some items to be shipped straight to her place. So she should be expecting them soon too? Just so she knows that it’s coming?

@ale2011: I would go to the shower with a card. Inside the card write a little note that lets her know that a package will be delivered to her home. No additional gift is needed.

I would take a card only. You do not have to buy another gift just because your gifts are being shipped to her home.
