Do you mean age appropriate?
I'm a 42yr old first time bride and my FSIL is throwing me a shower.
If someone wants to throw you a shower then I say go for it!
My Cousin offered to throw me a bridal shower, and why would anyone say no to that? What exactly about having a bridal shower is conflicting to you?
I am 40 and my girls are throwing me a shower in two weeks. I am looking forward to it!
If someone wants to throw you a shower, then I don't see a problem with it.
I did not have a shower, but that was because I'm also an encore bride (and I didn't feel it was appropriate). My husband was never married so we did have some of his family offer to have a shower for us, but we declined. If I hadn't been married before and was getting married for the first time, I would absolutely have a shower, regardless of my age.
