Hey Bees! I still pretty new here, only got engaged a week ago!! But as we’re hoping to have the wedding by early August planning needs to hapen!!!
A friend posted me a link to a bridal swap coming up in the spring. And I’m wondering if it’s worth driving downtown for. I’m not opposed to a consignment dress at all. I’m all about budget friendly and getting something expensive for 40%+ off list is SOO my style lol.
While I’m hoping to not be a totally plus-sized bride, the reality is I’ll be in that ballpark. Am I going to be able to find something there? I’ve never been to one before. And is it going to be a total zoo?

@asheyna: I’ve never been to one before but would highly suggest buying “used” I could’ve saved a lot of money!
I might also suggest going to a salon to try on different brands and styles to get an eye for what you might like and look good in, it may make the day easier!

As someone who enjoys fashion and clothing design I have a fairly decent idea of what cuts and styles look good on me. My wedding binder has a print out of common sillouttes, necklines and waists (etc) and I’ve circled ones I want to keep an eye out for!
But yes, used is not something I’m against. In fact I’m more inclined to buy used. Spend less on the dress and more on alterations so it fits perfect!
