@miss-stacie-2013  i am getting my future hubby a boudoir shoot, its a suprise though – he doesnt think he is getting anything, lol!!

as far as i am aware he is getting me the pillow and rings charm for my pandora bracelet.

an idea that i have seen on here somewhere was to organise 12 ‘date nights’ – 1 a month until your 1 yr anniversay, ranging from free things – a romantic walk in the park…through to expensive treats – going to see a show or going on a mini break.

as a couple of other options; have you thought buying him about an experience – like piloting a plane, or something he can keep like an engraved hip flask?

I got my hubby a personalized hankie, and little Lego chef cufflinks. He got me a crystal/diamond encrusted flask with my new married name and our wedding date on it.

Heard a lot of bad stories about a boudoir shoot – I would try to get his take on it before you did it. Some bees tried and their SO was so uncomfortable with knowing that someone saw their future wife in those clothes/positions.

Get something timeless – its usually the best way to do it – something that won’t fade, or rust and will be a good demonstration of your ability to last 🙂

I didn’t do any of those things though – I got FI a kitty. It was the perfect choice for him…

@weird_bunny:  The 12 date night things is the coolest idea I have ever seen in my life. I can’t even imagine how perfect that would be?!? I just sent it to my sister to suggest to my FI lol – he asks her for ideas sometimes…

  • Wedding: December 2013

I’m adding 4 days onto the end of our weddingmoon in December as my gift to H2B. We’re getting married in Cancun then (at the moment) he thinks we’re flying home to the UK after 10 days… but we’re headed to Florida for 4 nights. Still unsure of where to stay yet, but that, amongst some little pressies will be my main gift to him. I know he likes more gift-y gifts, so i hope he doesn’t think this is rubbish!!! But then we get 2 weeks away together and the Florida part can be a little honeymoon! 🙂 I really don’t want to tell him, but it’s soooooooooooooo hard!!!

I did a boudoir shoot and created a photo book with all of the photos for my DH. He gave me a bracelet from Tiffany’s.

@miss-stacie-2013: My husband and I bought each other custom Nikes with our wedding date and initials on the shoes. We’re both athletic, and wanted to get each other something that we would use every day. It wasn’t a surprise – we each designed our own, but they are the same general colour scheme and style.

I made a world of warcraft themed gift for him which included emergency kits, a flask, some socks, a set of cufflinks I made, and a boudoir album I did for him (on dvd).  Him and the guys freaked out when they saw it (they’re all gamers).  I actually made a photobook album from the boudoir shoot for him that I gave him privately.

His gift

Boudoir album

The boudoir album is probably hands down his favorite gift.  He’s actually requesting another one for our 1 year anniversary.  I think it helped that our photographer was a female and that I got his input on it ahead of time, however each guy is different.

I’m thinking of getting him a nice new wallet and a copper personalized wallet insert from Etsy. cards are the size and shape of credit cards and you can write your own message so he can always keep it with him.

I originally wanted to get a boudoir shoot for him but ran out of funds… And I don’t really see the practicality of it! I may decide to do it for our first anniversary though to remind him why he married me 😉

@miss-stacie-2013:  we are not getting gifts for eachother, but I am doing little things in the wedding to surprise him. For example, his niece and nephew are in the wedding as the FG and RB. I had a sign made for him that says “Uncle David, here comes your Bride” and he wanted uplighting in the room but he thought the price was ridiculous, so I am getting it for him anyway.

@Daizy914:

My gift is like this. We have not talked about guestbook ideas, but I’m probably just going to tell him it will be a book. I actually got a photo patch quilt that has our memorable dates on it and the patches are our wedding colors. We love to snuggle under a blanket, so I am excited about this!

I am also giving him a journal, I gave been writing in this journal for the past year+, about us, our fun times, bad too, and just general thoughts.

I’m getting him a boudoir album. I floated the idea by him a few months ago and he loved it. I had a female photog but he wouldn’t mind if it was a dude. We’re pretty open. I don’t know if or what he’s getting me.

@miss-stacie-2013:  I’m leaning towards doing a boudoir shoot, but FI has also more than hinted that he’d like a new Citizen watch.  He has a really nice one, but it’s a few years old, but I’m still considering getting him a slightly different but also really nice one.

I’m actually thinking about doing both.  We’ll see!
