I'm lucky I am a shift worker at a nuclear plant so when there is nothing happening in the wee hours I am all over the wedding sites. You may have to go 9 months with no sleep because i know i can't get wedding off the brain:) good luck
I definitly have that - I am officially wedding planning in my sleep. I have to keep a notepad by the bed so when I wakeup remembering something I can write it down. . .
I hate to say it but it only got worse the closer I got =) Although there was a nice lull in there once we had most stuff finalized until about 2 months ago. . .
Benedryl + melatonin pills. I am still taking them about an hour before bed because I've been so anxious lately and can't get back into just relaxing to fall asleep - even now that the wedding is over. Wedding nightmares were the worst, but with the pills, I actually have really deep sleep and feel really good the next day.
Hehe, I have a very boring job and do lots of "wedding work" at the office. :-X
But yes, there are a few nights where it has been difficult to fall asleep because I am making mental "to-do" lists in my head... I have a feeling it's only going to get worse as the wedding day gets closer!!!
Oh man, I can totally relate. I used to sleep so well. NOT LATELY. I had a nightmare about invitations the other night...
One word for you girls....AMBIEN!!
Prescription from my doctor. :)
I only have to take 1/2 a tablet, and it works great.
omg my mind has been spinning. I'm so wired that all of a sudden it's after midnight and I'm wide awake. Last week I couldn't sleep because I was thinking about when I was going to get my nails done before the wedding. Seriously.
wow, I don't know how you guys get to do it...I stopped officially working 2 weeks ago, (and stopped working full-time 1.5 months ago) and I feel like I am swamped some days! But yes, my head still spins some nights... My computer desktop is covered in electronic sticky notes!
But even so, I do hate the transition of working on things on my computer and trying to go straight to bed...I should really get in the habit of drinking a cup of tea and reading a mindless-non-wedding-related book right before I go to bed to calm myself!
As bellagio said....Benadryl. I take 2 nightly about an hour or so before bed. Works like a charm!
Thanks bees!!! If I take Benadryl, sometimes it makes it really hard for me to wake up in the morning. Any more suggestions out there?
Melatonin... It's the natural chemical in the body that makes you sleepy. You can get it as a supplement.
Vodka....... lol, I am lucky (I guess) that my shifts mostly start at 4 PM so I usually have from the time I get up till I have to leave for the restaurant at 3 PM to get things done. But seriously ...... Vodka ;)

Hi Bees!
Like many of you, I don't get the chance to do any wedding planning until I get home from work (most evenings this means around 7pm). But I find that if I start doing anything wedding related after work I just can't fall asleep later! I mean, I have laid there awake until 2 or 3 in the morning thinking about colors, decorations, dresses, you name it. I just don't know how to quiet my bride brain so I can go to sleep. Last night I even got up at 2 am to write down the things I was thinking about in the hopes that it would release me from worrying and allow me to fall asleep.
How do you bees do it? Do you restrict your wedding planning for the weekends? HELP! I can't go without sleep for the next 9 months...
