    ooommggg it is 5 weeks to my wedding and i do not have the body i invisioned myself to have when i first started my bride diet a yr ago ...

    i joined a gym at the beginning of the year, worked out 3 days a week (from originally never working out), changed my eating habits, drinking a whole lot more water and have cut out all bad junk food .... what have i lost in 8months of this new regime???? 4kgs!! yes okay ive noe got more muslce than fat on my body but still its not the tight taut body i wanted ... after the wedding day and night my dream was to wear nothing but a white bikini during my destination wedding stay ... but looks like nope that aint happening :(

    i look amazing in my dress (i dont mean to sound up myself sorry!) ... but its not like i look awlful, my dress fits perfectly and my fI loves me the way i am ... i just wanted to have a tight taut toned tummy and thighs ... but nope

    has anyone else had soooo much trouble losing weight?????

    why has practically nothing come off me in 8 months!??!

    Awww I amm sure you look hot!

    Our perceptions of self can become distorted over time when we are constantly dieting. Stop checking your weight and relax :)

    yes! since Feb I have been trying to lose all the weight I gained last year due to an injury which meant I couldn't go to the gym, was in a lot of pain and just sat at home and ate and drank wine to feel better! I put at least 15lbs probably more (I never used to weight myself because I was totally happy with how I looked - oh how I miss those days!!!!).  I had always thought that when I recovered from my injury then I'd just go back to the gym, work out and eat healthy just like before and the weight would come off just as easily as it went on.  Well six months later and I have lost 6 lbs.  Not even half of what I gained. I have had to go and buy clothes in a bigger size and I am really really trying so hard now to lose a little more weight but you know what? It just aint gonna happen.  I think our bodies have a preset equilibrium and when you hit a certain age (I'm in my 30's now) if something messes it up, you can never get down to below that without starving yourself - which I'm not prepared to do! I love my food!!  And a taught, toned tummy and thighs?? I will NEVER have those again - and as women we're not supposed to!!!  All those photos in magazines are airbrushed!  We are SUPPOSED to have fat deposits in those places, that is natural and healthy, it is just society and anorexic models making us think that it isn't.

    So the reality is, you have done your best, like you said you look amazing in your dress, you don't want to become too thin, it just isn't a good look, so embrace your healthiness, be thankful that you rock your dress, and enjoy your wedding day!

    @londongal:

    you are sooo right!!! im 26 .. and i was thinking the same thing about the preset equilibrium thing hehe but then i thought that maybe i was just making an excuse for myself?? i have tried everything except for those lein cuise, weight watches programs and i am like you about how i love my food!!!! im italian too so you can imagine all the pastas etc i have hehe

    you're also totally right about the airbrushed pics, but then i see women who do have nice bodies and can wear a bikini and rock it all the way!!

    ah well, my body type isnt meant to be that way it seems

    @littleG:Sometimes when you have a really hard time losing anymore weight, it is your body's way of telling you that you are already at a healthy weight.

    Sounds like you need to change your perception of yourself.  Your FI loves you, so you must love yourself.  If you are not fully satisfied, try doing treadmill sprints 2-3 times weekly.  I see results pretty quickly.  I do them for 30 minutes on 2.5 incline.  Alternate between 1 minute sprint ( I do 5.0-5.0 mph) and 3 minutes walk (2.0).  It may give you the extra push you need and it is also a stress reliever.....

    Don't worry, remember muscle weighs more then fat, so you can be heavier but in fact look thinner if you're toned...if you really need to cut out more weight,  go easy on carbs as they tend to bloat your stomach and also do some xtra cardio...it always worked for me...I know how you feel I used to go tothe gym all of the time before my ankle started acting up...so 20+ later I am struggling to lose the weight before my big day 1/1/12!...Good Luck!
