I walked down the aisle to PianoGuys cover of A Thousand Years. Even though the song has been over done (thanks a lot Breaking Dawn!) their version is so beautiful I couldn’t resist choosing it.

i think i’m going to do Explosions in the Sky- Your Hand in Mine! 🙂 it’s different, a personal favorite, and instrumental so no lyrics to worry about. 😉

sleepyhead22: I was just listening to that this morning and it really seems like that’s what they wrote it for. especially that part at the end where it gets quiet and then explodes!! I really feel like it’s building anticipation for the bride to come out.

Making84: Here are the options I am picking through

John Prine – Only Love

The XX – Angels

Iron and Wine – Such Great Heights

Foo Fighters- Everlong (acoustic)

I went to a wedding where the bride walked down the isle to Over the Rainbow by Jake Shimabukuro – I could not stop crying! It was so beautiful and happy!

Making84: every wedding I have been to, the bride has walked into somethign realllllly traditional like Canon in D or something similar.

I wanted something different, so I chose “Can’t help falling in Love” (instrumental Cello & Guitar) by Elvis Presley

My wedding party walked in to “Across the Universe” by The Beatles

Our recessional song was “Yellow” by Coldplay

Everything was instrumental it was beautiful. hope this helps you

Right now, I am down to two possibilities.

Ben Folds – The Luckiest (I am a huge Ben Folds nerd, so this will be what many guests will be expecting & why I am shying away from it.)

Sara Bareilles – I Choose You http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q8e5VTlzXgU

My bridal party walked in to the Vitamin String Quartet version of Use Somebody. Then I came in during VSQ version of The Sound of Settling by Death Cab for Cuties. The lyrics to it are a little strange for a wedding song maybe, but the VSQ version was gorgeous. And I absolutely did not settle 🙂
