I’m taller naturally by about an inch. The shoes we both wore that day kept it about that difference. There was only one photo wear I towered over him – thank god. As you can see, it doesn’t look awkward. Now, three inches might be more noticeable. Maybe you can find him a pair of shoes with a slightly higher sole.

I’ve shot a wedding where the groom is a little shorter than the bride.  I think the trick is to place the groom a little closer to the camera than the bride, so she’ll look smaller.  Here’s an example, it’s very subtle, but you can see he’s closer to the camera, so appears bigger/taller

@californiabride2013:  I had a good three inches on my DH thanks to my amazing and very tall heels. He is only one inch taller than me if I wear flats. He didn’t care and neither did I. 🙂

Not married yet, but I am 4″ taller than FI and will be wearing 3″ heels.  I wear heels around him all the time when we dress up to go out.  There will be no tricks of the camera or posing to make him look taller, he isn’t so why fake it on the wedding day?  Why is it ok for the groom to be taller in the pictures but not the bride?  I’m taller than him every day of our lives, it’s normal for us.
