Hi everyone. The bride told me that she found a dress for me to wear for the wedding. She said all the maids are wearing different styles in the same colour. She told me what to search for and said I could order it online.
I’m just a bit confused because all the website hits I get are American, and we’re in Canada. I would have to order from Ebay since the only other site is Amazon and the item is not available for international shipping.
Looking at the Ebay site, it looks like they only have a Small in the dress, when I have a feeling I’m going to need an extra small.
Should I tell the bride that the dress is going to be difficult to order? I would wait until I get measured before confirming that I need a XS not a S in the dress.
I don’t know if I should just do what I can to order it, or if I should bother the bride with this? I have a friend in the US. I could potentially get it shipped to her and then somehow get it from her.

You could order the small and then have it taken in in any places that it would be too big? I would rather risk having something be a bit too big than too small.

@BeeinBoston: I was just looking at the Amazon site and only Small is available there too. So that’s what I’ll have to do. I can order it from Ebay then. Luckily shipping is free, so that’s a big bonus.

@MrsGatito: You do have to be careful with Ebay and sometimes Amazon. Some of the listings are replica dresses that will be made in China when you order it and may not be the same quality as the original manufacturer.
Are you willing to share the name of the dress with us so the Bees can help locate it?
I too would recommend the small unless you know for sure the XS would be ample . You would need actual measurements of the finished garment , not just their size chart. It is much easier to take something in than let it out.

Is the bride in the US? You could have it shipped to her if that’s the case.
I live in Canada too and its a pain that so much doesn’t ship here. I would mention it to the bride now rather than after you order it. Better to have a heads up now then a few weeks before the wedding.

I’d definitely get it shipped to your friend in the US, and have them ship it to you!
