kayjaymc:  Of course! My personal preference is for the flowers in the bouquets to all be matching, but my friend had an all white bouquet and the bridesmaids had coloured bouquets, and they were gorgeous too. So it’s all a matter of your tastes and budget.

1st daughter to marry had some matching, but her’s was mostly ivory; they had some of the same flower, but in different colors. 2nd daughter to marry had only ivory roses, that matched; the bride had an all-ivory bouquet, with lots of orchids, and stephanotis.  The matron of honor’s bouquet wa slightly larger, than the bridesmaids, and had bling; the flower girl (9) had a smaller version of the bridesmaid’s, one of which was her mother. They were about half ivory and half lighter colors.

kayjaymc:  I’ve never heard that the BM and bridal bouquet need to match.

Its your wedding, do what makes you happy and do what you like.

I don’t think there are any ‘rules’ (: My bridesmaids had peonies and dusty miller and my bouquet was full of a ton of different flowers. I had peonies and dusty miller in mine as well, but they looked like completely different bouquets!

I think it’s a nice touch for them to be different. The brides can be something extra special, or just different to the bridesmaids.

I don’t think so. I had peonies, succulents, and ranunculus in my bouquet (think soft pink, with a sprinkling of green and white). MOH’s bouquet had succulents, ranunculus, and dahlias (her bouquet was completely ivory with a pop of green). Flower girl’s bouquet had baby soft pink roses in it.

There are no rules. The weddings i’ve been to, the bridesmaids and bride have the same flowers but the bride’s bouquet is slightly bigger.

You can do whatever you want as it is your weddi.

Nope no rules.  I’m having a beaded bouquet and I think my bridesmaids are getting plain old fake flowers, still not sure though.  But they will definetly be differnt because I can’t afford 6 beaded bouquets :/ wish I could but such as life lol.  Do what you want and as long as it all looks nice you will be fine 🙂

I’ve definitely never heard anything to say they had to be the same. If anything I would have thought only that the bride’s flowers were generally a bit more extravagant  and the maids bouquets were more simple, but that’s just my personal taste, there are no “rules” for weddings. Do whatever you like!!!

Nope. I’m having a brooch bouquet but my girls will probably have white roses.

I like the look when the groom has a bigger and more dramatic bouquet than the bridesmaids. After all, she’s the start of the show! 🙂 Needless to say, I’ll be having a garden rose and dusty miller bouquet and my bridesmaids will have simple baby’s breath poof bouquets.
