Unless you are planning on bustling up the dress when wearing shorter heels, I'd get fitted with the shortest heels. Having the taller heels show a bit should be fine. Trying to avoid tripping over the hem in the shorter heels would be a nightmare.

My first wedding dress fitting is in a couple of days. I'm unsure about what to do when it comes to which shoes to wear while they are altering the length of the dress. I have cute heels (not very tall) that I want to wear for pictures, the ceremony and maybe the first dance. But then I have another pair of shoes that have a smaller heel and are more comfortable for the rest of the night. So should I wear the shortest heel for the fitting and then my taller heels my show just a little, or should I get my dress altered in the tallest heels and then worry about tripping over my dress at the reception??? Has anyone else run into this problem??? I have heard of many brides wearing tall heels then flats at the reception and just want to know how that ended up working. Thanks to anyone who has advice
