I’m having some trouble deciding on bridesmaids dresses. Originally I wanted the dress from David’s Bridal in Pool because I loved the color and I thought the cotton material would be comfortable for an outdoor wedding in April. But the lady that works there told me a few months back that they were being discontinued, so I went on the hunt for something else. And I found this Eden dress that’s really pretty too, but it’s satin. If we went with this one, the top would be ivory and the bottom aqua. My problem is, DB called yesterday and wanted to know when I was ordering the dresses…but I was under the impression I wasn’t going to be able to use those anymore…So, which would y’all chose? BTW, I’ve already made their jewelry…from when I thought I was going to go with the DB dress. And just in case it helps, we’re having a vintage/rustic wedding, with aqua and pink as our colors. Here’s some pics.
David’s Bridal Dress, MOH would have a different neckline, same material
Necklace I made…the color didn’t come out quite like it really looks with my cell phone camera. And I’m not entirely sold on the pink ribbon yet. But you get the idea 🙂

@shalynnmarie: Do you think the necklace will look okay with that one?

I love the DB dress because of the colour and the cotton material. I am not a fan of colour block dresses unless all your girls are really skinny and tall.

I have worn the DB dress and to be honest, its not comfortable, and even tho im short, the slit in the back of the dress was higghh.. i felt like my tushy was gonna make a sneak peak throughout the night
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the second dress!!

@4years3months7days: I haven’t. How does it work?
@ricangen81: Yeah it looks so cute in person, too. But DB is being so weird. One day I can’t get it anymore, the next I can. They stress me out! lol
@graygodess20: I didn’t think about that! I love the eden too. I think if we go with that one I’ll change the ribbon in the necklace to a satin, so it will match better.
@Rusalka: I love the color! I had 2 of my girls try on the Eden. Neither of them are really tall. And they’re both around a 12. And it looked really good on.
Does anybody know how the cotton holds up through out the day? Does it wrinkle really badly?

I like the eden one better… and I had a horrific experience with DB saying i was good to get my BM dresses… only for me to panic and have to give my BM’s a 24hr notice that they needed to order their dresses asap before they were discontinued… I would just forget about the possibe drama…

Is the color “pool” being discontinued or the specific dress?
I would keep looking within DB for a different dress that you can order in “pool.” There are MANY similar to the one you posted.

I am not a fan of the Eden in white/blue. I say keep looking, there are so many places that sell that blue color. Try the Dessy group – they have a million dresses in tons of colors. Good luck!

@Woodstock: That’s exactly what I’m worried about with them. They told me a few months back that I had to order them that week or they wouldn’t be there anymore. So I decided to find something else. And then they called yesterday and said I needed to order them? umm…I thought I couldnt anymore? They’re so aggravating!
@inky_1: It’s the dress. But the reason I liked that one so much was because of the material. And they’re discontinuing all of the cotton. 🙁
@BlondeBee: I’ve found a ton on that site I like!

I voted for the DB dress because I do not think the flower detail on the two-tone dress will go well with your necklaces. I think a more simple dress like the one-tone DB is a better look, but that’s just my opinion!
