No, I havent ever been to an event but Im totally a bride against breast cancer, my mom and aunt are survivors!! So Breast cancer awareness is big around here!!
I bought my dress when they came to DC! It's such an awesome charity and a win-win situation for everyone!! My advice is to get there early and make sure you wear good underwear! Bring a slip if you can. When I went they had dressing areas and tried to make them as private as they could, but I was still getting naked in front of a bunch of other girls.
They also had a local tailor hanging out to give advice on what could and could not be done with the dresses.
Thanks, Sara Rocks! I really hope to find my dress there.... I would love to buy my dress while giving to such an amazing cause!
i did in denver@ it was so much fun, really a fantastic experience!! and don't worry, it's not a rotb, so no one will be snatching dresses from you, and the volunteers really are great!
After we move. I'm going to try to spend a whole saturday there driving up to their headquarters.
My FI's mom is a 20 plus year breast cancer survivor and I think it'd be an awesome way to honor her plus I had a friend/coworker pass 2 years ago this July from breast cancer...a beautiful, beautiful person. Miss her alot.

So my fiance and I are moving from Memphis to Chicago (where we are from... YEAH!) this weekend. My mom, sister and niece (MOH) are going to be in town to help us move. Anyhow, I just realized that Memphis is hosting the Brides Against Breast Cancer (BABC) event this weekend... the same weekend the women in my family are here to help us move! I'm SO excited and am convinced that this is fate.
Anyone ever been to a BABC event? What can I expect?
