Is anyone else out there thinking of carrying something else besides flowers? (Or, not carrying flowers at all?) Flowers can be bulky, and I think I like the simplicity of a white, embellished Bible. I’m having trouble locating really pretty blinged out Bibles, however.
I’ve read other places that brides have put a small spray of flowers on the Bible. What do you think about these ideas?

LOVE this idea!!! I really like it and agree with you that flowers can be very bulky and cover alot of your dress, but with your idea you can have both!!! Good idea!

just doing a search i came across this. i am going for a very vintage look and would totally love to do this. but i cannot find any image of any bride who has done this. a proper full length pic. i can only find ones of their hands. also did you miss not haveing a real bouquet?

If bulk is the worry, I feel like a Bible would be more cumbersome than just some flowers ..

coloradohiker88 : the brides bibles are usually kind of pocket sized like in the image i showed you, maybe they are just a tiny print new testament . grace kelly had one that she carried on her wedding day, or maybe a small prayer book. they are usually the size like i have shown above. i love the vintagey feel to having one

I did it, I loved it. I had a spray of flowers attached to the front cover, and early on the morning of my wedding I cut some honeysucle and added it.
It felt sweet and personal.
I think Grace Kelly’s was a prayerbook, for the Catholic religious ceremony.
