So late Tuesday night i finished addressing and assembling all the invites, i was so relieved to finally finish them I didnt bother to double check all names and addresses, it was 12 in the morning and i was exhausted. One of my co workers received hers in the mail today and she tells me the invitation is so pretty and she cant wait to go except her fiance’s last name is Gonzales not Rodriguez…yep, thats right, apparenty i just make up names. I felt so bad! How could i not have caught that! Now im panicking thinking who else did i do it to…
Moral of the Story: double check your invites before sending them out!
Any of you ladies have any snafu’s your willing to share?

My FI’s boss’ wife’s name is Nichole. I wrote Michelle on their invite. Yup.

We finished our invites around midnight, too. Now I have this terrible fear that because we specified how many people could RSVP on their cards (ie: “__ of _X_ attending”) they’ll have all gotten mixed up without me realizing. So our single college friend will be able to RSVP for 5 people, while my aunt and uncle with three kids get to choose the lucky 1 who’ll go to our wedding. D:

One of our groomsmen that I have never met is name Ricky. I asked my Fiance if he was “Richard” and he said yes. So I wrote Richard on the invite…the reply came back with Mr. Frederick Chxxxxx. FREDERICK?!? Thanks, FI! Now I look like an idiot!

I mailed myself an invite!
I used address labels, and mixed up the delivery address, and the return address labels, so one of my invites came back to me. I opened it and thought, “hey, they used the same colour and font for their return address labels!” hahaha I felt like such a doofus!

Oh it could be worse!
Friend A sent a wedding invitation to Friend B, who is married. She addressed it to Mr. and Mrs. B’S-EXBOYFRIENDSLASTNAME. B’s husband was PISSED.

@misspeanut: Ouch…but that made me LOL.
I won’t be doing invitations for over a year, but I’m going to make sure I double-check for these kinds of things!

@ejay15: Yeah this was a few month’s before my wedding, so I made DAMN SURE that I got her husband’s last name on there instead of her ex-boyfriend’s last name. She made a point to call and thank me when they got the invitation!

I mis spelled a first name on one, a last name on another (both co workes of FI’s so I don’t feel 100% responsible), and gave 4 seats to a family of 5, forgot to put an RSVP card in one, thankfully it was my auntie, I completely forgot to address one (name only) so it came back to me in the mail, and I have received 4 back so far with incomplete/incorrect addresses. Of those 4, 1 had no postal code, one no such address, and 2 that I mixed up the numbers of their house number so they were returned to sender.
And these are just the screw ups I know about so far lol.

My uncle is going through younger women like potato chips… I def. sent his invite to his and his then-gf… not knowing he had moved on and moved IN with another woman in the time span of one month that we sent out the invites. Whoops. But really…. how could anyone blame me?
