I just asked. ‘Proposing’ just seems so….yeah, no.

I did it while having dinner or lunch with my girls. I gave them the bottles below with this poem

“As I prepare for the day that I’m to be a bride, it would mean the world to have you sipping by my side” followed by “Will you be my bridesmaid? And the maid of honor one said “will you be my maid of honor”

Kaylaa:  I made silly “proposals” with a ring keychain and a homemade card/letter to each one. I didn’t want to spend much $$ on the typical trinkets that people use to ask….especially since they probably will be thrown away! I hate extra crap lying around.  I focused more on the card because it’s something sweet and sentimental that they might actually keep 🙂

Here is the link from when I posted them on the bee:

I took my bride party to high tea but lied to them about why we needed to meet and gave each a porter with a piece of Jewery colour swatches choc bling tea and a bundle of notes  one asked one was about the dress and one about the wedding and one was their role.

MrsYokiman:  It’s definitely not for everyone, but some many enjoy it. My BM’s are all out of town, so getting a cute little piece of mail and a sweet letter made them all smile. Being a bridesmaid is a pain in the butt a lot of times, so I wanted them to know that I truly value their friendship and appreciate their willingness to stand with me on my special day.

I called me friends and asked.  I didn’t propose as it seems a bit over the top and I don’t think my friends want a bunch of random nick nacks.

I made small gift boxes for mine.  They each had a card, some chocolate, finger nail polish in my wedding colors, and a ring pop.

Kaylaa:

I proposed to my bridesmaids, and they ALL LOVED it! I did the whole cheesey bent knee and everything LOL. But, meh, it made them feel special and I’ll never get to do it again.

I went to the dollar store and found eraser rings (I’m a teacher so it was cute… the only person who got it was my one bm, who is also a teacher, lol) then I also got pink and white rhinstones and blinged it out. Then I wrote, Be my Bridesmaid? on them. It was a lot of fun making them and I know my ladies liked getting them.
