Is this on TLC? I haven't seen it but that dress is not my style, DEFINITELY not for 17,000!!
And if I heard the Asian guy say "fabulous" one more time... I wasn't a huge fan either. Most of the girls faces were shot up with so much stuff that they looked like freaks!
@sheilad72: I know right? But I did like finally seeing the face that the wedding planner in Father of the Bride was modeled after.
I actually thought the wedding planner was the best part!!!! esp when he had that "conversation" with the brides husband...
I agree with the OP- the gowns where not very impressive and I reallly didnt like the owner either... I dont know if its just me but she came off very two faced- like she was nice to them when she was making money off them but then in the interview she bascially was VERY judgemental!
@hugsie: Oh I agree. he was the best part of the show and yes the owner seemed very two faced and fake.
I started a thread about it the other night and thought the same thing about the most expensive dress. Not impressed!
The yelp reviews of the shop are mixed...to say the least!

oh god i watched this the other night and it was miserable. it's just lacking in all aspects. i was bored out of my mind and wanted to strangle everyone on the screen!! syttd needs to quit fooling around and stick to kleinfeld!
That show is terrible. I wasn't impressed with the dresses, the people that work there are annoying, and their customers freak me out. It's an embarrassment to those of us who live in Los Angeles county as most women look like normal human beings.
It was terrible! I caught it while I was in San Diego last weekend and I was sorely disappointed. I had seen the commercial and was excited because I love RHOBH and thought it might be similar (one of the housewives had hired the wedding planner for her daughter) and it was not at all. Sad.
I was dissapointed with this show too. Klienfeld still wins in my book. I just coudln't stand that everyone there seemed so fake. The dresses were so expensive and their dresses wheren't even that pretty.
I dislike the show as well - It feels *very* fake and ingenuine.
I much prefer the sales staff at Kleinfeld's, along with the SYTTD show format as well. I feel like SYTTD is much more real and I enjoy watching it much more than Brides of Beverly Hills.
Oh my gosh YES!! This show is terrible!!!! Please tell me how Kleinfeilds can sell dresses all the time that are well over 20k (not that that is ok either) BUT yes Brides of Beverly Hills is a discrace and so annoying how that party planner keeps coming in the store with flowers!! They were on the news the other day for having all of their gowns taken by the Sherif.. Guess they owed a bit of money :/
I'm actually watching it as I type. Awful. What's up with the owner not telling the bride the price of the dress? As in, the bride asks and the shop owner told her....no? Lame
I don't mind the show. I do t hate it, I don't love it. What I DOfind interesting though is the in the movie "Father of the Bride" the character of the wedding planner was based off of THIS wedding planner, and you can SOOO see it. Nifty bit of trivia. But no, the show is seriously NOT great.

It's freakin' Beverly Hills!
I am somewhat small town but I really expected more....IDK glamour.
Not just that but just nothing about it screams Bevewrly Hills to me. (except the plastic faces)
Say Yes To the Dress is the only dress show for me.
I love everything about it. The people the dresses everything!
Anyone else see this show and have an opinion?
