Here's a nice article I just came across on over 40 brides.  Pretty much substantiates how most of us feel!

Amen to that!  I was 40 when I got married and didn't bother with the rules, as Franky says "I Did It My Waaaaay" and loved it.

Amen Sista - I think there should be a rule that you cannot get married until you are at least 35 (have kids in your 20's though lol)  it is so much more fun this time.

I had my first fitting on Friday.  It was the first time I saw my dress with my shoes and my veil - the two seamstresses gasped and I did too.  I have never ever felt so beautiful and happy in my life and I am doing all of the things I should not be doing :)

At church today (and we go to a traditional Presbyterian Church) my minister (who is also divorced and remarried) was chatting to us about our date/ceremony etc

and for anyone that thinks it is wrong I really am not that concerned with their opinion because people who love us are happy for us

I love that I waited until I found the right person (and, let's be honest, I became the right person for someone else) rather than let my fear of never finding someone scare me into something in my 30's.
