Just printed mine on Monday and made a sample one.  I used the Ivory and Chocolate kit.  Gartner has templetes online that you use to type in your info and print them up.  It was really easy to print.

I’ve only assembled one so far, and it will be easy but time consuming to thread the ribbon through 4 sheets of paper.  I’ll be co-opting friends and family to help me with that.

Don’t forget that Michaels takes competitiors coupons, and Hobby Lobby posts a lot of 40% off coupons on their website.

We did our invitations & programs & seating cards from Michaels.  The Mr. printed all of them – if I remember correctly, he did several practice runs to make sure everything lined up correctly & had to tweak things a bit to make them even on all sides, but I think it was very much worth it considering how much money we saved!  When we told his aunt where the invitations came from, she didn’t believe us – and this is a woman who has experience with that type of thing.  She probably spent more getting napkins for our engagement party last year that had our names printed on them than we paid for our invitations, programs, escort cards & thank you notes combined.

**We didn’t go with the thank you notes from Michael’s because I was always told you shouldn’t use cards that say "Thank You" on the outside – yeah,it’s antiquated, but I made sure my cards were "proper" in the eyes of his older relatives.

One of the girls at my work just showed me her wedding favor which she had done at Michael’s and it was gorgeous.  Although I had mine done through Costco so I wouldn’t have to deal with having to print the invites on my own since printing can be costly and can be a hassle if you don’t have the right printer.

Just finished all the programs tonight.  My future father in law had the brilliant idea of using a darning needle to thread the ribbon through all those little holes and it worked great.  Definantly get a needle with a large eye to do these programs.  They went together very quickly once we got a system together.
