@Mrs_PinkHerman:  I did not use them for my wedding cake (used an in house vendor for mine), but the publix by my house sells individual pieces of their wedding cake in the bakery area and it is sooooooo good. I make my husband stop by and grab me a piece sometimes.

I didn’t use them for my wedding, but have ordered Publix cakes for baby and bridal showers.  They’re very yummy!

@Mrs_PinkHerman:  Their cakes are delicious and they do a great job of decorating them too.  We had a small round red velvet to cut and 48 cupcakes for our guests.

We used Wal-Mart (same-ish haha) & it was a huge hit taste-wise.  The only downside was that they didn’t deliver so we paid our bartender a little extra to safely transport it which wasn’t a big deal afterall because they boxed each tier separately.  The other thing was that not only were our designs limited, but it was obviously not done by a fantastic artist/baker.  You get what you pay for & even still, I’m glad I was able to save there as it wasn’t that big of deal/detail.  I thought I had a picture for reference on my phone, but no dice :/.  If you would like, remind me later & I can post a picture when I get home from work.

@Mrs_PinkHerman:  I’ve had Publix cake at a wedding and at many other events (graduations, baby showers, birthday, etc) and it is delicious! It’s not a glamorous bakery to namedrop, but man, they bake a mean cake.

I miss Publix 🙁
No real advice for you OP, but I have had tons of Publix cake in my lifetime and it’s always so good. It freezes well too!

We used Publix for our wedding cake (and wedding flowers) in the Atlanta area, and it was fantastic! A couple suggestions – they may only list a few filling flavors over the phone or at your consultation, but they usually have even better flavors for a slight upcharge (like $7 a layer or something).

We also ordered ‘birthday cake’ on the suggestion of a friend. If it doesn’t matter to you that the cake has 2 thicker cake layers & 1 layer of filling (wedding cake is 4 very thin cake layers & 3 layers of filling, but similar height), you can save half the cost that way and they’ll still decorate it like a wedding cake. Highly recommend!

@Mrs_PinkHerman:  I do have a pic of my came but I can’t add it on here with my phone! I can later! The flowers on my cake were sugar gum paste flowers and were additional cost (but the price I quoted you wss after the cost of those flowers) they will not add fresh flowers to your cake for some reason but I’m sure you can order flowers and do them yourself or your venue may be willing to do it as well? My venue out the cake topper on as well because I don’t think publix will do it unless you buy it from them. Hopefully this helps? Mine waS the ivory 3 square, Asian apple blossom cake. I forget the exact name though.
