We had our wedding a week before Valentines day and I wanted deep red roses so we thought we would get ripped off (prices for roses are always double the week of valentines day.)  We had 6 tables and the florist did the entire table including branches.  It worked out to be about $1 per rose

We had roses on the plates, back of chairs, in the alter piece, on the tables and on the cake

Roses used were Hearts Wanted and Black Magic

We were on a budget and I love roses- timeless beauty. 🙂 We did non-floral centerpieces. My bouquet was just over $100 and the BM bouquets (super simple- 3 white roses tied with flowy gold ribbon) were $15 pp. The MOB and MOG carried a single white rose tied with gold ribbon and the men had white rose bouts. My DH had a very simple red bout tied with gold ribbon. We’re in Chicago. 🙂 We couldn’t believe how much more inexpensive roses are compared to other flowers- love it! 🙂

We went to the farmer’s market and purchased roses at $1 a piece. A friend of mine arranged them into bouquets.

I had roses for the majority of my flowers. Here’s a break down of what everything cost and I’ll post the pictures below.

Tall centerpieces – $175 (this included the vase rental too)

Bouquets – $150 (bride), $65 (bridesmaids)

Ceremony decor – $100 (this included the rental price for the candelabra, column, & sash)

Cake flowers – $75 (this included the topper and the roses underneath the cake stand. You can somewhat see it in the pic)

Bouts – $15 (groom), $10 (groomsmen/dad) – not pictured

Corsages – $25 – not pictured

odichinma:  We didn’t just buy roses, so maybe about $200-300. It’s been 2 years so I don’t remember exactly. I just know we saved a lot by buying them at the market rather than a flower shop.

I used ‘Naomi’ roses. Since the site redesign and not having any pictures on this iPad the only picture I have is this, sorry it’s not all that clear

i’m not married yet, but for my engagement photos i wanted a bouquet of white roses. I bought 24 beautiful white roses at costco for $15 – they do special orders as well. ie you could order 10 dozen roses to be picked up on thursday for your saturday wedding etc.
