My hair was down and curly.  It’s naturally very wavy so I went with that.  I generally wear it fairly straight, so this was a little different, but still pretty natural.  I didn’t want a slicked back, super tight up do, just not my style.

This is how a wore my hair on my wedding day – down and loose curls:

This is my hair on a workday when I actually have time to do more than dry it and before the post-wedding chop:

I don’t know why my part is different directions??? It must be how the picture is formatted. I always part my hair the same way.

Anyway, the only big difference is that my hair was slightly darker and slightly bigger on my wedding day because I got a sort of – kind of ombre dry done a year ago. I dyed my hair back to black before the wedding.

I firmly believe in being a better you on your wedding day!

ETA: I can’t wait for my hair to grow out so I can wear my hair like this again. I got it cut way too short 🙁

Sorry the pictures are huge! Here is my wedding hair, pinned back a little differently but pretty low key and my usual hair style for our engagement shoot.

@MsCarabiner:  In your engagement shots it looks like we have very similar hair, but the back shot of your wedding day the curls looks looser. Did you use a curling iron on them for the wedding?

I wore my hair down with curls (normally straight) because I hate using products and pins in my hair (I don’t own a hairdryer or brush/comb).

@MexiPino:  Yup! For our engagement I “scrunched” them with moose or something. For the wedding my sister curled them with a curling iron and hair sprayed them. I don’t know, but I think her reasoning was that they would hold up longer (before descending into a frizzy mass in all that humidity) which they did 🙂
