For those of you who are doing a first look before the ceremony for pictures, did you take pics with your veil on or off? I am trying to figure out details, and I’m not sure I want FI to see the “full effect” with the veil before we’re married. Thoughts??

WhatMaeBee: We’re planning a first look followed by bridal party shots before the ceremony. I’m planning to wear my veil, only because I *really* want those wonderful blowing veil shots.

I’ve been planning to wear my veil for the first look shots – I suppose if you’re on the fence about doing a first look because you really want the surprise value for looking down the aisle, you could wait on the veil . . .

I absolutely want a blowing veil shot too…maybe that could happen after the ceremony? We need to do first look pics for time purposes, but was thinking the veil could be saved til ceremony. Such little details….le sigh 😉

WhatMaeBee: I believe I will probably wear mine because we are not really planning on taking photos after the wedding.

I wore my veil. And a yellow hair tie around my wrist that I forgot about until about photo #107 :-/ oh well! If you don’t feel like you want him to see you in your veil until the ceremony that’s totally fine. For me my hair stylist put pins in my hair where I was supposed to stick the veil, so it was either wear the veil or have funny looking pins on top of my head.

I plan on wearing my veil, as it’s part of my attire! I actually just picked it out last weekend and can’t wait to wear it. I was in a friends wedding on Friday and she only wore it for a few shots, but hadn’t planned on wearing one anyway – so that worked for her. I think it will look nice to have in those photos.
