Am i the only one who isnt crazy about tiaras? anyone planning to not wear a tiara? I know some people really love them and they can look really great on some brides but for they just arent for me. pls share pics if you didnt wear a tiara
I didn't wear a tiara, but I wore a headband I made. I insisted from the beginning that there would be no tiara on my head.

Yea I'm not a tiara girl. I just wore the veil and then a flower at the reception.
i think im gonna do like caszos...veil for the wedding...flower for the reception!
My guess, actually, is that you'll get a lot of responses to this post, as tiaras are not nearly as much in fashion right now as they were, say, in the 1990s. Brides today are gravitating toward birdcage veils and/or fascinators much more often than tiaras.
You couldn't have paid me to put on a tiara on my wedding day, or really any day other than perhaps Halloween. :) My best friend stuck one on me a couple of times when we were trying on dresses, and every time I rolled my eyes and said "No, I will not be a pretty-pretty-princess on my wedding day."
I don't like tiaras either. I'm not a prom queen, in a pageant, or a princess. lol
No tiara for me! Im going with a flower..really diggin that headband!
Nope. They are a bit too pageant-y for me. Not my cup of tea.
Not a fan of the tiara either! I like the veil/ceremony flower/reception idea!
I'm pretty sure I've never been to a wedding where the bride wore a tiara.
I won't be wearing one.
I'm not wearing a tiara or a headband, and I never really considered either one. Veil and (not gigantic) hair flower for me, but I was almost set on just veil for awhile.
My sister and a close friend wore them, and I thought they really looked good and not pageanty at all, though we have all seen some that veer straight into princess territory. I personally do not think they suit me, and I will likely do a jeweled hair clip or headband with my veil.
I have tossed around the idea of having: http://www.medievalbridalfashions.com/circlets.htm
I wanted a tiara originally but I'm worried about the pagenty look. I want to look MATURE.
I definitely will not be wearing a tiara.... I didn't want to look like a princess! Probably a hair comb like the photo attached. Found one on Etsy!
I will definitely not be wearing a tiara. It's not my style at all. This girl I graduated with just had the cheesiest wedding (in my opinion, of course) of all time. She pretty much wore a crown on her head. It was ridiculous!
I will admit, though, I wore a tiara on my prom. Haha. I really regretted it afterwards, though!
Tiaras are definitely not my style. I like a more modern look. I'll wear a hair flower for the reception, but sticking with a veil for the ceremony.
Personally, I don't like the look of tiaras on brides. I wore a plain finger-length veil for the ceremony and took it off for the reception... I'm a simple gal I guess. :)

No tiara - I'm wearing organza flowers in my hair. I'm not even wearing a veil!
I'm thinking maybe a flower. Maybe nothing. But definitely no tiara.
I wore a veil for the ceremony and flower for the reception. However I was just a guest at a wedding where the bride wore a tiara. She's a cute girl and made a lovely bride, but I didn't dig the hairstyle with the tight curly updo and the tiara
I personally don't like tiaras on brides UNLESS they are an actual princess. I wanted to feel like a princess on my wedding day, but not THAT literal...

NO offense to anyone who is wearing a tiara, I just thought this post was funny!
I'm not wearing anything but my veil. However, every single time I went to try on dresses the shop assistant put a tiara on my head. I don't know what it was, but it was annoying! lol
Absolutely not. My bff wore one @ her wedding & it was pretty on her...but I don't think I could pull it off w/out looking like I was 9
I wore one mostly because I have thin, fine hair, and was concerned about a veil held only by bobby pins coming out. The veil got sewed to the tiara for stability.

@2dBride:I think that's a little different because you wore it more like a headband towards the back of your head. (Gorgeous roses, btw)
Ditto @ LittlestBirds. I think the majority of brides today consider a tiara to be either out of fashion or culturally inappropriate for them. I've seen some brides pull it off, but haven't seen one whatsoever in the last 5 or 6 years I wanna say. But to whoever wants to rock a tiara, more power to you! Definitely not for me.
I think the tiara has gone the way of the Giant Panda -nearly extinct. The new trend is definitely headbands/hair flowers. I think tiaras were more popular in the '90s and the earlier part of this decade.
@CaraMia10: Thanks! We had arm bouquets, which are a little unusual. However, when we walked up and then down the aisle together, mine was on my right arm and my wife's was on her left, so all the guests on both sides got to see them.
And yes, the tiaras were worn in such a way as to make them mostly inconspicuous. We wanted them for stability more than looks.
