I saw these shoes in-store and loved them, too!  I wish they were around a few months ago for my wedding!

Now that we're on this subject can I ask you all if you think my idea is stupid.  My mom's jaw dropped when I told her...

I met my Fi during the St. Pattys Day Parade up here in South Boston.  I really wanted Green to be one of our wedding colors because of that but I really really wanted pale pink peonies for flowers and that won out for me and I didn't want the girls to look like a watermellon....

But then I got this idea to wear green shoes.  So then I'll have something important to us but it won't be the center of attention.  (Not Kelly St. Pattys Green but a pretty springtime kinda green)

    What do you all think???

You should do it. My mom laughed when I told her I was going to wear hot pink shoes, but she actually likes the idea now!

I wore hot pink shoes for my wedding a few weeks ago.  Everyone loved them and they matched my bouquet perfectly!  Its fun to personalize your wedding.

I want to wear blue ones for my something blue!! :) And those Ann Taylors are perfect!  Thanks Lilindy

EmilyBrooke - I say go for it!   PS - I love that you met on St. Patricks Day in Southie!!   I'm also from Boston, an Irish girl, and obviously love St. Patricks day - it also has a special meaning to us ... Long story short my fiance decided he was going to ask me to marry him right around St. Patricks day and told the first person(his best friend) that night.

This best friend decided to buy him drink after drink after drink to secretly celebrate ... which got him quiet drunk ... and sent us both home early. Needless to say I was pretty mad at him and sent him off to the Southie parade without me the next day ... he took the opportunity to tell a few of our other close friends the plans he was making to propose on his birthday including planning the a surprise engagement party immediately following!!  So though I was more mad at him that day then any other day I can remember -- it is always one of my favorite parts of living in Boston!

Oh, I think you should definitely wear green shoes!

I have my heart set on blue. The groom will be wearing blue kicks, so if anyone sees suitable heels that would match those, I'd appreciate a heads-up ;)

My shoes are red! I've just stopped telling people because they're all flipping out -- "Why aren't you wearing white shoes?!" (These are the same people who asked, "Why do you care about your shoes? Nobody will see them!") Can't please everybody. ; )

OMG, did you all see that the shoes I orginally posted went from $129 to $49 dollars?  I've got a wedding to go to and I have to buy them now just because of that!

Oh and if you buy those shoes, or anything else, use this code for 20% off: 92400415

Yeah those shoes are pretty hard to find, maybe you can putting a looking request on the boards here.  They had them in the perfect red color and I never ended up finding them for my wedding.

My mother had the same reaction when I told her I wanted to wear burgundy shoes with my white wedding gown. Burgundy is our motif, and I want to incorporate that somehow in my attire, so I'll also wear a necklace that has burgundy/ruby red (fake) stones on them.

I'd say do whatever you want that will make you happy. It's your feet, and your weddingBrides Who Want Colored Shoes : wedding shoes Icon Biggrin

Ok...I've given up hope for those awesome Nine West shoes. But....Dyeables...

I used them all the time for proms but I used a different company for my sisters wedding and the dye ran....

Do they do that bright apple green do you think and if so have any of you had experience with the color running?

    Thanks!

I'm a colored shoes girl too but through some of these searches, I came across these that although they say "grey satin" - they look pretty neutral-- and only $23.99.  Never thought to search amazon.com for shoes.

Here's a pair of cute shoes, but again would probably have to look around for other sizes: http://www.amazon.com/Nine-West-Womens-Falcoin-Slingback/dp/B000XYVFRU/ref=sr_1_45?ie=UTF8&s=shoes&qid=1227206886&sr=1-45

I bought a pair of the Sophia D'orsays linked above in a 7.5 in the blue color.  They were a final sale so I can't return them.  They're brand new, I just got them today, tried them on once, and found out that I need a 6.5.  Also, if someone has a pair in 6.5 please PM me.
