Hi Ladies!  We were hoping to keep our budget at $5k....but that's just not gonna happen.  We are going to end up closer to $6k.  We are paying for the wedding ourselves. Do you mind sharing how you are using your budget?  Here's mine:

    Guests...aprox 120

    Day of week....Saturday evening

Venue...$3,000 Includes outdoor ceremony site, reception room, buffet dinner, all set up of chairs, tables, linens (which is included).  $500 credit at their bar.  They are not going to charge us the usual $10 corking fee to bring our own wine.  I feel like this is the best deal I have come across in a long time!! They don't do many weddings so the director was willing to work with us.  They are also not charging us the 18-20% tax that seems to be included everywhere else you go.  We will tip the servers ourselves after the wedding.

Photography....$600 www.smittensnapshots.com This will include 6 hours of photography (3:30pm-9:30pm) and all images on dvd.  60 of them will be 'edited'. We can chose to have her edit more for a small charge if we want.

DJ w/ uplighting...$650 Dj for ceremony and reception as well as 10 uplights

    Centerpieces...$150....for aprox 12 tables...my 1st mock up:

    Brides with $5k-7K Budget...How are you spending it?? : wedding Centerpiece1 005

This is not the final product as I need glass votives and more blue rocks for the vase.  I posted about my price breakdown a couple weeks ago...but I am not sure how to attach that link :(

Cake...$350 includes pic as shown (WITHOUT the feathers!) Delivery and set up.  At lady at my work runs a side cake business so she will be making it for us!  She is amazing!

Brides with $5k-7K Budget...How are you spending it?? : wedding Cake25

Shoes....I don't know if I should count this in my budget becasue I made them before I got engaged!  They probably cost me $300 to make...but since that has already been spent, its not coming out of the budget.

Brides with $5k-7K Budget...How are you spending it?? : wedding Cabin Shoes 0448

Dress... $69!!...Bought this Maggie Summer store sample off Ebay!! It needs to be cleaned and bustled as well as have the corset string replaced.  So I am guessing the total will be about $300.

    Brides with $5k-7K Budget...How are you spending it?? : wedding Dress1.4.12 002

    Brides with $5k-7K Budget...How are you spending it?? : wedding Dress1.4.12 008

    Jewelry...$50...not purchased yet.

Invitations...$10...found clearance print your own invites at Joanns (2 boxes of 40 for $5 each)...They are pretty plain but I didn't want to spend too much of my budget here.

    Flowers...$450...will include a bridal bouquet ($150)...3 bridesmaid bouquets...($50 each)...6 bouts ($8 each)...2 corsages ($18 each)...throw bouquet...(35). Below is a pic of a bouquet I like...but with cream roses.

Brides with $5k-7K Budget...How are you spending it?? : wedding Alysha Bridal Bouquet Close Up

Wine...$250...Not many wine drinkers in the group...but we will provide a couple of bottles on each table.

    Hair/makeup...$250 includes airbrushing and trial.

    Total $6060....(not including shoes)

**my parents are paying for our hotel room on the wedding night..so I did not include it in our budget**

**his parents are paying for our honeymoon...7 day cruise to Mexico...yay!**

We have a 5-7k budget, however, we only have about 40 guests coming.

Venue: $1600. This includes chairs, tables, ceremony and reception venue.

Catering: $1500. This will include food, linens, and dessert (we are skipping the traditional wedding cake.)

Decor: I am DIYing everything. I am making paper flower centerpieces and a fabric flower ceremony backdrop. I'm not sure what my actual costs are running since I've been buying bits here and there but I'd be surprised if it was over $150 at the very most.

Apparel: I'm also making my dress $150, and my fiancee bought a suit that is also about $150.

Accessories: Both of our shoes, undergarments, hair accessories, etc will be around $200.

Invitations: $100. We designed and printed them ourselves, so that number includes printing on cotton cardstock, envelopes, postage, and ribbon and flower appliques.

Photography: $950. I love our photographer and this includes an engagement session, 6 hours or so of shooting (I don't remember exactly) and edited images on a cd.

    Oficiant: 350

Music: $100. We are making playlists and buying an iPod player.

    Hair/Makeup: $0. I'm DIYing it.

Alcohol: $500. Unfortunately our venue requires us to pay $5 per drink and use a bartender, or this number would be wayyy lower. I'm kind of considering skipping it since it's a morning wedding but I haven't decided yet.

    ---------------

Rings: $300 for both wedding bands

Honeymoon: ~$1200 for a five day mini-moon in Savannah, GA and Jekyll Island, GA.

    ---------------

    ---------------

So, our actual wedding will cost $5250 to $5700 (depending on if we serve alcohol.) The grand total for all wedding costs will be $6750 - $7250.

Not totally complete yet, but here's a breakdown of our $5k budget for around 70-80 guests.

Venue: $140 (Includes tables/seating, but nothing else.)

    Catering: $1020 (Includes staffing.)

Pies: around $200? (Combo of homemade and purchased.)

Alcohol/other beverages: under $200 (Various punches, microbrew, and non-boozy lemonade!)

Photography: $1500 (Including engagement session + 8 hours. Our biggest splurge, but photos are important to us!)

Videography: $120 (Renting 5 Flip cams, assinging them to our friends who know not to whip the camera back and forth in a shot, and then having a professional editor friend do the editing for us.)

    Hair/Makeup: $0 (Doing it myself.)

Dress: $80 (Custom made in the Balkans, where I'm living presently.)

Groom's clothes: $80 (Also going to get a suit custom made here.)

Invitations: $75 (DIY. Did e-STDs so those were free, and doing e-RSVP so there's less printing costs and postage.)

Officiant: $26 (For the internet ordination costs for a family member.)

Decor/Flowers: $500ish? (Venue is pretty bare picnic shelter, so we're going to dress it up!)

Guestbook: $60 (Thumbprint guestbook from Etsy.)

This leaves about $800 for incidentals, and possibly building a photobooth, which I think is a pretty good cushion!

Both families including us are pitching in mainly for the ceremony costs and reception...as far as my dress, I'll have 2. My uncles buying me one. others myself, as well as my FI's suit and so on

    ANYWHO!,

    $7,500

    70 Guests total (our max)

$1825 Customized Beach Wedding Ceremony. (A lot of Florida beach ceremony companies only do weddings up to 25-30 ppl so I finally found a company with my style of a Morroccan Style that would allow me to customize and hosts my large party!)

Super pleased and he has an online database so we searched our favs!
