All you ladies who have a beaded bodice – particularly beaded under the arms if you dont want to be raw on the underside of your arms from them rubbing on the beads all day buy monistat anti chafing gel and put it on your arms (once in the morning once before the reception should do) and its like magic. The lady at the dress place told me about it and it works like a charm! Also – if you have chubby legs (like I do) put it in between your thighs so they glide across each other instead of rubbing together it is so nice rather than getting those nasty little bumps. I know it isn’t a glamorous side of being a bride but something to think about. My dress was completely beaded and I didn’t have one problem the entire day.

@krstino1012: I was going to use the Monistat antichaffing gel on my legs, but never thought about it under my arms. Great tip! The beading was bugging me after only a few minutes in the store.
Also, if you are doing your own makeup don’t forget to use the Monistat gel as a primer!

@pixiecat: My wedding was 4 months ago – but I do still using the anti-chafing gel when I wear dresses (like today). See my dress – super beaded and didn’t bother me at all.

@krstino1012: Your dress is GORGEOUS! If you don’t mind me asking, who is the designer?

@krstino1012: I have been thinking of using this for my underarms, and legs on my wedding. Does it make everything feel slimy though? Like when your legs rub against each other? That is my only concern! Thanks!

@Nicolettekds: It was an allure gown. I absolutely loved it felt like a princess lol (so cheesy but true)
@Soon_to_be_wed: Not slimy at all – just makes it feel very smooth. Honestly with the legs thing if i could do it again – i would probably have worn shorts or something under the gown because even with reapplying it is just so hot and sweaty under there you are bound to chafe and chafe I did. I was miserable after the wedding and raw between my legs but it did go away right away. On a regular day like today when I use it I have no issues – literally they just glide.

I love that stuff! I actually use it on my face as a primer under foundation; it eliminates all shine!! A little trick I learned right here on the bee!
