I am in love with bright red/dark red/red hair in general! Personally, I haven’t seen many brides with (obviously coloured) red hair!
My FMIL thinks I should dye my hair a “normal” colour for my wedding day, but I live and breathe red hair!
Show me your locks!

@LeSpice: I’m a natural redhead, but my hair is pretty bright!

I’ve been a fake red head for about 2 years now and wore it that way to my wedding. I did tone it down a little but though and went for a deep red instead of the much brighter red I had for epics.

Oh I was going to post pictures of my natural hair but then I realized you meant fake red hair! I wouldn’t change your hair for your wedding unless you want to change it anyway. You want to look like yourself, just better!

@LeSpice: I love red hair too!

@LeSpice: if bright red IS your normal, keep it!

@LeSpice: It is very hard to dye over red. I had a hair stylist dye my hair red without my knowledge (at a training school, that was a bad day). It took months and rounds of bleach shampoo to get it lighter but I couldn’t really dye over it unless I was willing to go solid black, otherwise it would’ve gone purple. My hair holds color like mad so maybe yours is different, but I’d talk to a stylist about your options before making a decision. Also since my hair is curly and naturally dry I couldn’t go the route of fully bleaching out all the color, which maybe you could do, but bear in mind that will really damage your hair. I bet your red hair is beautiful, I vote you keep it 🙂

Thank you to my very good friend for sending me this photo! This is the best photo that highlights my hair in the sun that day. I dyed it the night before and left it in a little too long, so it was quite vibrant day of.

Lena Katina from Russian duo t.A.T.U married her husband last year and her hair is natural red but she also dyes it.

@RunnerBride13: I’d love to see your naturally red hair! I love it equally 🙂
@jennmariee: My hair holds colour extremely well, as well! The only time I dye it is when my roots show through! I’ll attach a photo at the end of this post!
I’ll definitely keep it in mind when my big day is approaching! Purple wouldn’t be too bad though 😉
@Gingerlocks: Your hair is beautiful! I wish I was blessed with naturally red hair! You looked amazing on your day!
@Ixtlali: LOVE the colour! Beautiful couple, and I have to compliment you on your tattoo’s! Stunning 🙂
@tiffanyscanlan: It looks beautiful! And so do you!
@misschickpea: Love love love! Your hair style was what I had in mind! You look amazing!
@SmileyKitty: Love it!
@mixtaperomance: If you think you’re up for the maintenance, do it! Even on bad hair days, the colour gives me a healthy “glow”!

It wasn’t AS bright as I normally dyed it, but I did for sure want it to still be red – I felt like it would’ve looked more unnatural for me to dye it another color, as I’ve been a bottle-redhead for years. After the wedding however, I started venturing into dying it back to my natural ashy, medium brown. It’s been quite a process, I’ll tell ya!
