I did mine, and I love it! If you want the “pop” without much “poof” then just get something not too poofy!

Make sure the crinoline you get is NOT polyester. Polyester does not dye. That was an expensive mistake on my part.

I bought RIT dye off of Amazon and did it in my washer. It was super easy and not messy at all!

I’m undecided about this.  I definitely think its fun and love to see other brides who have done this.  But the bridal shop I bought my dress from rents out their crinoline the day of the wedding so if I do this option than I can’t dye it to match.

I haven’t decided about mine yet, but my girls will have a red crinoline under black dresses.

My dress is going to have a royal blue petticoat underneath — it’s a tea-length, and I want the petticoat to be just slightly longer than the dress, such that it peeks out more.

What does your dress look like? Honestly, I’m biased to the royal blue crinoline, but I think fuschia would be adorable for a beach wedding as well. ^_^

I think Royal Blue would be beautiful. Orange might make your dress look a little TOOO crazy. You can definitely get it a royal blue color, as long as it’s not polyester!

I did mine in eggplant, and I LOVE it, I can’t wait to wear it!

edt: I think blue would look ah-mazing under your dress! Just make sure you can’t SEE the colored crinnie THROUGH your dress (best way to test this: Find a t-shirt, similar to the color you are dying the crinoline and put it up near your butt with the dress on, underneath, with the crinoline on, it will tell you)

@Genny1687:  Hey no problemo! Mine will show through a little bit, but not enough to concern me ( my dress has eggplant on it so I don’t think anyone will notice )
