Ok, so I'm not technically engaged YET, but it's coming and I've been trying to get a sense for what I want in our wedding. The one thing I know I do want is to wear my glasses. I have never worn contacts and I don't feel the need now. My glasses are part of who I am and I will be rocking them to the fullest at our wedding :-)

So, my question is for the other be-speckled brides out there...did you have any trouble with your glasses on your wedding day? Also, were there certain dress or veil styles that didn't seem to work with glasses? I've been eyeing up some elegant beaded A-lines, but I don't know if I'll like how they look with glasses. I'm sure I'll get a clearer picture when I start trying them on, but I was hoping the hive would have some knowledge to share first. :D

Mrs. Candy Corn and Gummi Bear both wore glasses at their wedding!

Make sure to let your photographer know in advance that you plan on wearing glasses!  I've read that photographers can use special lenses or filters to minimize reflections... since you'll be in almost all the shots, it might be worth looking into.

I"m wearing glasses at our wedding!  I've worn glasses every day since I was 17, and I can't do contacts. I wouldn't feel like me without them, so I didn't think twice about it.  I am going to let the photogs know, thanks Mr Bee cuz I hadn't thought about that!

Both my husband and I wore glasses on our wedding day with no problems.  We let our photographer know that ahead of time, but I don't think they made any special adjustments.  I think the biggest thing is to make sure you have the anti-reflective coating on your lenses....that makes a huge difference.  We only ended up with one photo out of three thousand with a funny reflection on my glasses.  Another thing to remember is to bring cleaning spray and a cleaning cloth in your cluth or something for the wedding day. You'll be doing lots of hugs, etc. that can put smears on the lenses, and once they are dirty, they're a lot more likely to cause a problem for photos.

Thank you all for the comments! I didn't think about talking with the photographer, but that's obviously an important part of this.

@MerryC Good call on the cleaning cloth. I'm really anal about smears on my glasses anyway, and I don't think it would be good for me to try and wipe them on my dress, lol
