I've had glasses since second grade, too! I wore my glasses with my veil and it was fine, and I have black plastic frames. They are just a part of who I am, so I really didn't notice them.
I found a lot of pictures just googling "brides with glasses, but here's a link to a blog with lots of pictures: http://www.intimateweddings.com/blog/brides-in-glasses/
I'd be interested in some pictures as well. I can see close up, but far away, I can't see a thing without my glasses. I've got a year till the wedding but I just don't know if I want to get contacts. I have 4 pairs of glasses, 2 are an older prescription though. 3 are black frames, 2 of which are plastic and the other is thin metal. The other pair is metallic purple with some silver detail on the sides and metal. I'd wear the purple ones if I end up not getting contacts. I've only been wearing glasses for about a year a half and I really love wearing them, but am concerned they won't look "right" lol.
Here are several places to see brides in glasses:

I was in the same position - my glasses are basically an extension of my face! You can see my recaps on the blog: weddingbee.com/author/hermitcrab
I've been wearing glasses since grade five and due to extreme dry-eyes, I can't wear contacts. I'll definitely be wearing glasses for my wedding because I can't see much without them! My prescription just changed, actually, and I've been glasses shopping twice in the last few weeks. I'm finding I'm having a harder time picking out frames because I keep thinking "These glasses will be immortilized in my wedding photos! They have to be awesome!" Whereas normally I wouldn't be afraid to try something new and funky. I'm going to try and find something that fits "me" but that isn't too trendy... my dad has glasses in their wedding photos and they just look SO dated. That will be the hardest thing to avoid... it's probably inevitable, haha. Oh well - I suppose the dress and tux will date the photos too!
I've been wearing glasses since I'm like 2 years old, they are part of me and without them I'm blind as a bat lol... I am definately wearing my glasses for the wedding, I will however be taking some shots without them. Right now I wear brown squarish frames and I am planning on getting a new pair for the big day.
I'm planning to buy a new pair of glasses with anti-glare lenses before the wedding. I've worn glasses since I was 7 years old and have never been able to get the hang of contact lenses. I wish that bridal ads would feature brides wearing glasses from time to time because I think there are a lot more bespeckled brides out there than are represented.
I wore my glasses because I didn't think I looked like myself without them and I can't get contact lenses in anyway. I loved that I wore them! I wore my regular pair because I loved them so much and I didn't have any issues with glare or anything. Here are the two recaps I posted with tons of pictures.
I wore glasses!! I ended up buying a new pair for the wedding. I got silver half frames that were really thin, and they worked great! I got them online at www.goggles4u.com for about $15. I buy all my glasses online, they are so much cheaper!
Thanks so much bees! The glasses pics are helpful, I feel like a need some inspriration. So far the look for the day is shapping up to be nerdy barbie, which isn't necesairily a bad thing :P
I wear glasses, but I'm not wearing them. Nor am I wearing glasses. Contacts are too pricy, and I can see well enough (sort of) to walk down the ailse. Good thing my dad is walking me down!
I've seen a bride wear glasses in a wedding before and she looked absolutely stunning. She also had a veil with lace edging on and it didn't look too fussy at all.
I have worn glasses since the fifth grade and am planning on wearing them for our wedding. I've worn contacts before but just feel more like myself in my glasses (: I was a little worried about how it would look but then I found these pictures and now I'm excited for glasses during the wedding (I have RayBan frames similar to the ones in these pictures) :

I've been wearing glasses since Grade 5! I am totally adamant about wearing them on my wedding day. I'd feel naked without them. Just did my hair and makeup trail and things look good =)
Ressurecting this thread because I remember reading one like it when I was wedding planning, but now I actually have pics of me at my wedding with glasses on! And another bee did a glasses post tonight, which made me think of this, so I thought maybe some other bees would find this thread to be helpful =)

I have worn glasses forever and can't get contacts in either (I am glad I am not alone). My plans were to go without glasses for the actual ceremony and put them on afterwards. It is a littl scary, my vision is 20-800 (

Hi Bee's! I've been wearing glasses since grade 2, and I can't get contacts into my eyes. Are their any ladies out there that wore glasses on their wedding day? Did you find that their was to much going on with specs and a veil? Did you get new ones for the big day? Mine only pair right now are thick black plastic frames, and I' was thinking about getting a lighter brown metallic frame in a similar shape, maybe with some pretty filigree on the arms.. does anyone have any pics of how they wore their glasses (or on how your planning to wear them)? I'm having a hard time finding images I like.
Thanks!
