Where did you get your cake? Or did you even use a cake?

We are getting married in Lake Goerge, NY- so naturally I'm looking for a cake baker up that way or someone who won't charge an arm and a leg to deliver to lake George... but I'm also looking for a Baker who can guarentee that the cake will not be contaminated or cross-contaminated with nuts. Since most bakers use nuts in their shops for other baked goods, it has been a problem thus far.

Nut allergy here! We went around this problem by having my sister do the cake/cupcakes. I know that absolutely our final product won't be contaminated.

However, I would discuss this issue upfront with different cake vendors. There may be someone who can accomodate your needs. I throw around the words "anaphylaxis" and "intubation" a lot, and that tends to get people to take me very seriously!
