BelleEtoile: I think it very much depends on the site. Decorating a patio is very different from a ceremony under a tree in a field.

BelleEtoile: Ugh, I posted but it disappeared. It will definitely differ depending on location/venue. We decided to do very simple decor and let the venue’s natural beauty show. My favorite part was the lantern lighting though.

BelleEtoile: It definitely depends on the site. I am having an outdoor ceremony and it is by a pond and an open field with a pavilion nearby. There are trees in the background near the pond.
We are having white folding chairs with shepherd hooks down the aisle and on the shepherd hooks we are having little mini crystal chandeliers with baby’s breath on top. We are also having a aisle runner and white flower petals in a swirl between the shepherd hooks. We are also making our wedding arch. It will be pretty simple. Here are my inspirations, I hope this gives you some idea!

BelleEtoile: my wedding was last year in a stone garden ceremony space at a country club. We had a mountain view, so I had minimal decor (flowers on every other row of chairs) and rose petals lining the aisle. You can see what I did here!

Hope this helps!

We put an arch decorated with fake flowers halfway down the aisle. We got married on the beach of a small beautiful lake, and I really felt like less was more for us.

BelleEtoile: Ours was a lot like LavenderBride24‘s, actually! It was a lovely garden setting with a clearing for the chairs, and we did very minimal decoration. We had rose petals down the aisle and, like Soon-to-be Mrs. Baranick, we put tulle on the wedding arch that we stood under and our florist made a horizontal arrangement that sat on top. That was it. It was gorgeous.

We really aren’t doing much, but I’m still looking ideas so also interested in what other bees have done.

Our outdoor ceremony has a gazebo and I’m thinking of hanging a banner like this across the top:

We are also going to strand lights around the deck rails.

Otherwise, I’m not sure what we are going to do but right now this is all I got/good enough 🙂

Commenting to follow. We’ve got a lot of landscaping to work with (deck, pond, waterfall, trees, planters), so we’ll probably keep the additional decor to a minimum. I’m trying to find a way to put a canopy above the ceremony site though, because an arch would look weird.

BelleEtoile: I bought something similar at Shop Wild Things and they were having them on sale so I bought 8 since we are using 8 Shepherd hooks. They have some nice options! When I get mine in the mail in a couple of weeks, I will post what it looks like if you’d like!

BelleEtoile: We are getting married in a garden so there’s not much decor needed. The altar background are some ponds and then the tree line so we’re doing more there. There’s an arbor so we elected to rent the chandelier, crystal curtains and satin curtains. The aisle is getting tall vases with orchid stems and black rocks. That’s it. The reception is under a tent so that’s a bit more glamourous.

BelleEtoile: We are not doing much for decoration. Our wedding will be on family farm land. Its acres of grassy hills with trees in the background. We will have petals down the aisle, our homemade arch, and then the only other thing will be table centerpieces. With a background that beautiful, you don’t need to over do it! 🙂
