Why don’t you ask them?  If you’re buying them for your girls show them the different options and ask which one they’d like (plus they’ll know which will look the best with each of their necklines), win/win.

I would individualize the necklaces to the dresses. Whether or not you want to seek their input, depends on if you want these to be a surprise gift.

The same necklace will not suit all necklines. One shoulder necklines in particular can be hard to pair with a necklace. They may look better with just earrings.

There is no loaw that says they can’t wear pearls just because you don’t -or even if you do. Pearls are a very classic look. Is that what you are going for? or do you want something a bit more modern and interesting? What are your other colors?

All of my BM’s had different necklines. I got them blingy earrings instead of necklaces. You could also do bracelets. I think it’s better to stick with one metal, and one type of stone. I did pearls because I had pearl detailing on my dress. And I did silver/white gold because my and his rings are silver/white gold.

I agree: earings or bracelets work better in this case. The halter top and the one strap dresses wouldn’t look good with necklaces. As for the style, I think that if your theme is old hollywod glam, the statement earings or bracelets work better than the studs. Color: it can be any of the ones in the wedding theme, but I would go with silver if the dresses are navy blue and your rhynestones are silver as well. Gold pairs well togerther with navy blue, but it’s less discreet, I think silver is better in this case.

xskittles:  I would do earrings and a bracelet since you they all have different necklines. I don’t think it matters if they wear different stones than you, and the metal will totally be your preference since it’s such a small detail that I doubt anyone would really notice.

I had gotten my MOH and bridesmaid a pearl necklace and stud earring set before they got their dresses, but they ended up getting halter necklines so they’ll only wear the earrings.  It’s ok though since they can wear the necklaces after the wedding, but I do plan on getting them a bracelet.  Their metals won’t match either since one prefers white gold and the other prefers yellow and I want them to be able to resuse the jewelry afterwards.

I would skip the necklace completely and go with some nice earings that compliment their dresses and yours.

I feel like that necklace has come and gone. I’d keep looking. Illusion necklaces had their big day many moons ago.

xskittles:  My girls are wearing different necklines, and I went with earrings and a bracelet instead. They will still look polished but it won’t interfere with necklines.

All my bridesmaids were wearing illusion neckline dresses. I bought them earrings that I thought would be a little more statement-y than they turned out to be, but other than that they just wore whatever jewelry they wanted to. One of my bridesmaids wears a cross necklace that I’ve never seen her take off, one has a wide tattoo band around her wrist, one I’ve never seen wear jewelry before. It was all about their comfort.
